The Human Bean — Restaurant in Kennewick

I am not one to leave bad reviews, but I have had it with this location! The last 3 times my husband and I have been here something about our order has been wrong. I am done giving my money to this Human Bean location.

The first time wasn’t too bad; they just made 1 sandwich instead of two so we waited for the second to be made. They apologized and it really wasn’t that big of a deal.

The second time my coffee had cream in it which, when you are lactose intolerant, is not a good thing. Also, my husband got a breakfast sandwich and the center was still cold and partially frozen.

We stopped going for a while because it isn’t worth paying such high prices to not get what you want.

Well, we tried again today. This is the last time I will ever go back.

The girl taking the order clarified a number of things about by husbands drink a couple of times (which I appreciate… if you didn’t hear it or need clarification please ask). We ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches, an iced latte w/ flavor and an iced americano. The sandwiches were tasty. That’s where the good ends. The gal made my americano hot (I’m not a fan of hot drinks). I let her know I had ordered it iced. Instead of remaking it she poured the hot americano over ice. For those of you that don’t know… Americano water comes out at 220 degrees. So all the ice melted within 10 minutes. Also, an Americano has a certain water to coffee ratio… all the melted ice made the drink taste like dirty water. My husbands drink was correct, but had so much flavor he couldn’t taste the coffee. I can’t try it to verify because it has milk in it, but he knows what a latte should taste like.

Long story short… I will not...

The Human Bean has always been my favorite on the oregon coast and I was thrilled to have one arrive here in Kennewick BUT recently I have started to notice a decline in quality of drinks and food here at the clearwater location. There seems to be too many distractions for the employees as they have been getting my orders wrong. They ask if I want cream and I say "No thankyou" and I am handed a coffee WITH cream. I order a breakfast sandwich which should be warm and I take a bite to find the center still cold. Getting my drinks wrong is starting to happen more and they are not complocated orders. Tips for owner: better training for employees (if they have troubles remembering the orders then write them down), limit distraction, repeat the orders in there entirety. I will still go back in hopes they get better as the locations on the oregon coast have never...

It was my first time there and I didn’t know what I wanted so I asked what’s good here. They were rushing me very much and being rude about it. I asked if they had vanilla lattes of can make me one they were like yea sure. And my husband is deaf so I had to sign and see what he wanted and they were acting very rude that I was taking the time to see what he wanted. He just got what I got cuz they wouldn’t give us time to decide and there was no one behind us. Then they handed us the drinks and we were settling them down so they wouldn’t spill and the girl there eyeballed us to like “move along” and not hold up the nonexistent line. Not to mention the coffee was burnt all three and we got the same thing, they had no flavor and no vanilla. Will not...
