Los Cantaritos Authentic Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Kenosha

We put one star because they didn't have ZERO times 10,000..YES WERE SERIOUS PLZ READ BEFORE EATING HERE.😳 We went here because someone recommended it and said,and we quote,"..Its real good Mexican food,but a bit pricey..",The price we thought wouldn't matter if the food was as good as tht person said it was. 💣WARNING! ALERT!.💣The food was not real MEXICAN FOOD..🗑️. 1ST WE ORDERED TWO MEXICAN TACOS,(ONLY ONIONS AND CILANTRO COME ON THOSE), THEY ARE MADE OF BEEF BRISKET,(WHICH MEANS YOU'RE GONNA HAVE A LOT OF FAT ON YOU'RE TACOS REGARDLESS IF THEY COOKED THEM ON A GRILL,THT MEANS SUPER GREASY.IT WAS DISAPPOINTING TO SEE HOW SMALL THOSE LITTLE PIECES OF BEEF BRISKET THT WERE ON THEM.(PLZ SEE PICS)...NOT TO MENTION THE TORTILLA THEY USED WERE THE SMALLEST STREET CORN TORTILLAS,(AND IF YOU DON'T KNW WHAT THT MEANS, IT MEANS THEY'RE GONNA GIVE YOU THE SMALLEST PORTIONS OF MEAT THT ISN'T EVEN REAL MEAT,(PLZ SEE PICS).THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO USE WHEN YOU ASK FOR A MEXICAN STEAK TACO,SEE THE STEAK THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO USE IS CALLED ARRACHERA OR IN ENGLISH SKIRT STEAK AND AT THT ALL THE FAT SHOULD BE TRIMMED BEFORE ITS COOKED ON A FLAMING GRILL...WE ALSO ORDERED A BURRITO AGAIN WITH STEAK IN IT.IT ALSO DIDN'T HAVE ANY ARRACHERA MEAT IN IT ,BUT IT DID HAVE BEEF BRISKET MEAT WITH THE FAT ON IT.THE PIECES WERE SO SMALL AS THEY PUT THE SAME MEAT THT WAS ON THE TACOS TO STUFF THE BURRITO.THERE WAS NO FLAVOR IN THE BURRITO,NO REFRIED BEANS IN THE BURRITO,OVER STUFFED LETTUCE TOMATO CILANTRO AND ONIONS,AND THE AMOUNT OF BEEF BRISKET MEAT ADDED UP TO THE SAME TWO TACOS WE HAD EATEN...WHAT GOT ME UPSET WAS THE TASTE OF MAYONNAISE THEY MIXED IN WITH THE SOUR CREAM THT WAS HORRIBLE 🤢..AND THE FACT THT QDOBA HAD MORE FLAVOR THAN THEIR SUPPOSED AUTHENTICITY TO MEXICAN FOOD...🤮...WE ALSO ORDERED TWO TAMALES OF PORK, NO OK FLAVOR AT ALL IN THE PORK,THEY WERE SOOOO SMALL....FORGET ABOUT BUYING FRM THEM...YOUR BETTER OFF TAKING A NICE 25 MINUTE TRIP TO LEWIS PRODUCE ON GRAND AVENUE IN WAUKEGAN, ILLINOIS AND ENJOY THE BIGGEST PORTIONS OF AUTHENTIC MEXICAN REAL FOOD AT CHEAPER PRICES..AND WHEN I TELL YOU THAT YOU SHOULD TRY THE TAMALES IN RED SALSA AND GREEN SALSA.. YOU'LL HAVE TO GO EARLY BECAUSE THEY'RE SOO GOOD THEY SELL OUT SUPER FAST BUT IT'S WORTH IT..THEY ARE SO HUGE THEY ARE FOUR TIMES BIGGER THAN THIS PLACE AND PRICE A LOT LESS...I POSTED PIS SO YOU COULD SEE FOR YOURSELF...WHAT TYPE OF ESTABLISHMENT IS THIS THT WOULD ROB ITS OWN KENOSHA CUSTOMERS AND LIE TO THEM MAKING THEM THINK THT THE FOOD IS AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD, ESPECIALLY WEN THE STEAK IS HAZARD TO YOUR HEALTH THT THEY USE...NOT TO MENTION ITS SUPER SMALL AND THE TABLES ARE SO CLOSE TO EACH OTHER ..I WOULD NOT GO BACK TOO RISKY WITH ALL THESE NEW DISEASES POPPING UP SPREADING LIKE WILDFIRE INSIDE SMALL PLACES LIKE THIS.MY HUSBAND WAS SO UPSET,HE TOLD THE PERSON THT RECOMMENDED THT PLACE THT HE WOULD NEVER TAKE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ANY EATERY'S IN THEIR LIFETIME...OUR RATING...ZERO...

I've been going here for many years. The management and people working here are amazing!!!

Tonight I called and explained to them how we only had $4 to our name and we wanted to get two tacos. Management and the awesome Bernice working there helped!!!

I'm not saying to go around doing this but if you can't afford something and need it then you must ask for help. They were very understanding and willing to work with us.

I'm running for mayor of Kenosha and I'm here to help every last struggling person in Kenosha and beyond hopefully one day.

People are struggling and dying that didn't have to. We cannot sit around letting them suffocate.

Los Contaritos has delicious food, great staff and a great friendly atmosphere. Please check them out and support them. They deserve it!!!

I wouldn't even give this 1 star. I patiently waited for my refund for 3 weeks now and I'm tired of calling to get updates. I will not come back, after placing my order online and paying for it by card (which came to $52) for a work lunch, my coworker picked it up and he was charged $28. Not only was he charged but when he brought it back it wasn't even the right order. I called right away to report this and the woman who took the call asked me to hold and then just placed the phone on the counter. I listened to her talk to everyone else for almost 10 minutes before I hung up and tried to call back. But of course, since she left it off the hook now it's busy signal. It took about another 10 minutes before she answered it again and I asked her to not put the phone down and to give me the manager. I was told they would make sure the manager got the message. A week later, still no refund so I called again. It was supposed to have been taken care of so I waited to see if it would come through. Still no refund. So, rather than call again, I want to let you know you can have my $52 cause I won't be back. Anyone else going make sure you check your order before leaving and make sure they don't charge you a second time. Do not ask me to email you or call you to fix this. I've already done all that. You lost yourself...
