this is THE worst jack in the box I have ever been to. I've come here a few times now, and each experience was worse than the last. The first time I came, my food was cold and lifeless/stale and they took 15 mins getting it to us; we'd chosen to use the walk up window and there had only been 1 other customer waiting for food outside, while several cars came and went in the drive thru. The second time, not only was the food cold and we ended up waiting close to 10-12 minutes again, but they also got our order wrong. The third time, this happened as well. I decided to give them one last chance since my partner was complaining that they wanted to eat here one more time since they were craving jack in the box, and it was our last straw. This time we waited about 8 minutes (yes, shortest time ever through the drive through!) for our food, which for once was warm (not hot, just luke warm). When I got home, I discovered the bag they gave us had only ONE of our meals in it, of the two we ordered. This meal was cold (we live literally 2 minutes down the road, there is no reason the food should be cold when we get there but i've come to expect this of them anyways so whatever). we got 2 sodas for the two meals, but both tasted really wrong. My root beer tasted like it had doctor pepper in it, and the doctor pepper we ordered tasted like it had sprite in it. Plus, as I said, we were missing a sandwich and fries. I had to go BACK to their store, and when I tried to explain the situation to the girl at the window through the intercom, she confused what I was saying and thought I wanted to pay for another meal. We waited almost 20 minutes in the line, only 1 car ahead of us. The car behind us kept honking because of how long it took! When we got to the window, the lady tried to charge me for the meal. When I again explained the situation, she recognized me and told me "okay, no problem" and gave me my order. She also fixed our drinks, and was nice (The only saving grace here was her personality, really.) But the entire time, what looked like her manager was giving me and my partner a serious STINK EYE like WE had done something wrong. Once I received my food, it was of course ice cold because it had likely been sitting ready for that entire 20 minutes. I couldn't wait to get the hell out of there, and am never going back. If I knew how to report this jack in the box I would. I have worked at jack in the boxes before, and I know there is NO EXCUSE to mess up that many times, consistently, and have that long of a wait time EVER. It is absolutely ridiculous.
I think something else I can add is I feel like with the exception of tonight, all the past times I came to this place you could smell the weed oozing out of their back door, it was very strong. I didn't need to smell it to know the workers were all high off their asses, though, since you could tell by how slow they were and their eyes that they were toking up on the job all...
Read moreThis is regarding mostly the night/very early morning staff. My cousin and I get literally turned down from ordering every time we come by where they are somehow out of exactly what we're ordering or the system is down, etc... The third time I went down there to get shakes, my cousin and I were joking about how it's probably not even worth it to go to the Jack in the Box downtown, since they'll probably come up with some reason to turn us away. As someone who has worked in fast food, I've seen managers turn away orders using BS excuses when someone orders a few minutes from closing. In fact, people have called in to our store because they have been turned down by stores near us (Papa John's), causing them to order from us instead. Which doesn't feel great knowing that the other store is BSing to get out of the order, essentially just dumping it on us. I felt bad for the VERY long line of orders the Jack in the Box on top of James hill has to deal with because of the downtown location's consistent "problems". I gave them a tip and even then felt bad enough that I didn't have enough cash for a good tip, knowing what managers/in-stores have to deal with during a rush (and especially an unexpected 2am rush).
Maybe I'm assuming too much, but at the very least this store has problems they need to sort out. I mean after being turned down over and over again and having to drive up the hill to the other Kent Jack in the Box, it's starting to seem more like a pattern. And if that's the case, they're really screwing over the workers at the surrounding locations who have to put up with it.
During the day this store is great though. Have never had any problems ordering during the day. As far as after midnight? Good luck with trying to get...

First of all I sat in the drive through for 40 minutes! I was the 3rd car away away from the ordering area. When it was finally my turn I had to wait another 15 minutes before I could order. Then when i went to order. The girl says "ah yea we aren't doing shakes tonight! Really?? That crazy because its 1030 on a Tuesday and your a 24 location! FINE, I get it things happen, but really that was the main reason I came. Then finally after almost an hour, and when i say hour, I actually mean 60 minutes! I am a resturant manager so I understand actual time, not its been 10 minutes and I am going to pretend its been an hour, it was literally an hour. I get my food and its wrong so I asked the employee if I could get what I ordered, and she looks at me and says "that is your order" I said no its not I ordered curly fries not homestyle, she said oh .....are you sure? I am like yes I am positive. She gave me a dirty look, like im lying or something. She brings me my fries 5 minutes later, which were not even cooked all the way. No receipt or anything even after I requested it. I only live about 4 minutes away so its not going to take me that long to get home. I get home. my food is cold and soggy! I couldn't even eat it. If i wanted to wait an hour for my food, I would have gone to a sit down resturant (like the one I work at) on a Saturday night, not a Jack In the Box ON A MONDAY NIGHT!
