J Butler's Bar & Grille — Restaurant in Kernersville

I went Friday evening for dinner and to be honest was not impressed. I prefer a table over and booth and have no issues waiting for a table when they're all booked. However a family came in after me and was seated at the table that had just opened up before I was. Once I was finally seated, a young server came by to take my order. You could tell she was flustered as it was busy but she made no attempt at hospitality and was simply going through the motions.

I ordered the tuna steak with shrimp along with garlic mashed potatoes and mac n cheese. The food took a very long time to arrive. After about 15-20 minutes, my server finally walked over to inform me that the Tuna was taking holding everything up. Again, I realized it was busy so I wasn't overly concerned about it. My only real problem was there were people who had bigger orders that were placed after mine that received their food before I received mine.

I had ordered the tuna medium and when I received it, it was completely hard and completely well done. There was zero flavor in this piece of fish. The shrimp and sides were fantastic but the tuna was terrible. It was late Friday evening, and having already waited close to 30 minutes to receive my food, I didn't bother to even complain or request a better piece of fish. Finally a different server, who had brought my food to me, asked me how everything was and I told her. She offered to go get them to make me another piece but I politely declined citing my desire to just go home.

I have been here many times over the years, but I have never been treated so rude and was embarrassed in front of my family. In our family if it’s someone’s birthday I take them to J Butlers. I went there for my sons 21st birthday and we had a awesome waiter, we all had a good time that night! I went Friday night for my daughter’s 18th birthday and we were treated horribly. So bad that we just left as soon as seated. I told them there were 7 of us when we walked in. They sat us after about a hour with the place almost empty, and proceeded to tell us only 6 at a table and that one of us would have to sit at another table. So I asked for the manager who came over and before I could ask a question she said “ only 6 at a table that’s the rules” so I asked if we could move the other table a little closer seeing as the one closest to us was not being used. She said no and just Walked away. I don’t know her name but very rude and if that’s what they think is manager material the might need to go back to the drawing board! All the good employees that were there are gone, and I bet I know why. I own companies and I’m sure she is as rude to the employees as she is to the customers! We left and went right over to SIXTY SIX they sat us all at one table and we enjoyed the rest of the evening. Will not be at Kernersville J butlers anytime soon! They could have moved the other table 6 feet from our table so we could have all talked to each other. 6 feet and a bad manager didn’t lose a customer it lost a family...

Went here on a Sunday to watch football game with son and friends. We order drinks. After reciveing drinks the waitress came back to son to check ID he already was drinking the drink. The waitress was very slow and not paying attention to the table..Manager was standing in the corner talking and not wearing the mask that she had everyone else wearing. Son got the wrong favor on his wings but he ate them. Friend came in and had to wait on his food for a long time. Had to ask the waitress to take the plates so we could have room on the table. They was not busy. As we were about to leave. I went to the manager who was working and told her about the experience and she told me that I was ban. I said okay. I had to call around to get the corporates phone number. Got it emailed and got un-banned. Went back to location then next Sunday. The manager was told by employees that I was still banned i told him that he needed to call the office of the women I spoke to. He left came back and she didn't answer her phone. So text said person and never received a phone call back. This place does not have good communication. Non friendly staff. Then to go to corporate and not get a response is just unprofessional. Been here alot of times. If I was being disruptive or arguing with thr management then all means ban me. I was explaining to her that the service sucked and mistakes that were made.
