The options are almost limitless. There's luscious frozen custard in dozens and dozens of flavors in frozen take-home pints, and three "flavors of the day" + chocolate and vanilla + a "lite" option that are more of a soft serve consistency. They offer several 2-scoop special sundaes, all of which you can switch up with your own toppings, sauces, and any of that day's custard flavors, or you can create pretty much any custom sundae you can imagine.
Aside from the frozen custard, you can also choose from a big variety of Italian ice, oversized frozen custard pies and cakes, and beef hotdogs. The hotdogs are always fresh and juicy and the buns steamy soft, even at 9 am, which is so awesome I can hardly stand it.
And there's a drive thru! No need to wait in line on foot in the hot sun, you have the option of staying in your car's AC cocoon the whole time!
There's room for improvement in the serving containers; nearly everything is styrofoam or unrecyclable plastic. I don't see why items like hotdogs can't be provided in paper trays, fresh custard in the same type of recyclable plastic cups as sundaes, etc. It would also be an easy improvement to have catsup & mustard packets on request, instead of relying on the server to know how much of each I want (yes, I get the irony environmental-wise, but still). Finally, it's REALLY annoying that they aren't timely in updating their website and store signs with each day's flavors. More than once I've driven out of my way and waited in line for one of my favorites, only to find out that the site hadn't been updated from the prior day. This definitely decreases how...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhile the custard is one of my favorites in the greater Dayton area, we just continue to have poor or mediocre service time and time again. Last summer, a trip with my friends and one of their brothers was ruined when the workers thought that we could not hear them anymore. They laughed at our car and called my friendās brother the R word and asked what was wrong with the kid (a high functioning autistic teenager, have some decency because you donāt always know what people are diagnosed with or are going through). Food has been missing or tampered with in the past, too. Tonight, they āforgotā an entire item from our order, and one of our items, a milkshake, was tampered with, as there were paper shreds at the bottom of the cup. They also were out of lirerally everything except for vanilla custard and toppings? Which is okay and can only be expected sometimes, just thought I would mention here. Bottom line: do NOT tamper with food and have some humility. Clearly run by teens who donāt care that much for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe love this place and come here often but this evening we visited and were blatantly disrespected by your young staff. A gentleman took our order on a tablet before the menu was visible so when we got closer to the menu, my kids saw that there were hotdogs and asked for one. So when we got to the window we asked to add hotdogs to our order and the young lady at the window rudely said "we're out." I could tell by her expression and her quiet exchange with the girl next to her that she was being dishonest so after we got our order, I went to the walk-up order window and ordered the hotdogs. There was in fact plenty of hotdogs. It's a shame such a young girl resorts to lying in order to not have to do something. I sure hope for your business' sake dishonest and lazy aren't the qualities you have in...
