How can BO's Fish Wagon, a place I've been to for over 30 years still be a secret? BO's might not look like much but it is the perfect place for lunch or dinner when in town. I've enjoyed this open air little piece of Key West heaven for so long that it is one of the few must-go's anytime me or my family is in town. Do not judge a book by its cover - BO's is as legitimate an option as the Pepe's diner down the street, or Mason de Pepe on Mallory's Square - both of which I do recommend, after BO's. Unfortunately sometime in recent years they lost their alcohol license but I have to say it is super cool that they suggest you just BYOB to go along with your dinner. Their fried conch is killer. Their various grilled fish plates, also yes. Yes to everything BO's does. Do yourself a favor and go have one of the most delicious yet uniquely old school Key West experiences you can have and head down to BO's Fish Wagon. They tend to have super friendly staff as well, who tend to find you to bring your food out to your table and ask whatever else they can do for you at that time. I'm 45 and since I was 12 I don't remember anything except good meals, and good times at BO's. I hope this place...
Read moreWell, came down to Key West for my wife's retirement celebration, and one of the highlights was going to be fish sandwich at B O.'s Fish wagon. The food was good, not out of this world, the conch fritters were average at best. Had many more at other restaurants that were very good. The fish sandwich was good, but not anything to rave about. I had read many reviews that it was the best fish sandwich on the island and this simply is not true. Acceptable, but definitely not the best. It is really hard to have any bad food at Key West, I'm just disappointed. The tone was set when we ordered, the lady was not very welcoming at all, like we were doing her a favor by being there. My wife and I shared 3 conch fritters, fries and a fish sandwich, cost = $37.48!!! Had no drinks, does not serve alcohol. I know we are on vacation, in Key West BUT, way over priced for what you get. So, make your decision and go with it, but look at other places before forking out $22 bucks for a fish sandwich. This is solely my opinion, and my experience, but I do know good food when I have it. Was so hoping to be doing a different review, but felt strongly about doing doing...

Plenty of time....... Actually, no. So 12 of us ordered. The last plate arrived over 1 hr after we ordered. That was pretty long for a place u order at the kitchen and then sit down. We like off the beaten path style food places and non franchise places that have some sort of personality.. this is borderline but we had fun No locks on bathrooms. And there is a chicken with her babies walking through the dining area. She is very sweet. She runs through the kitchen too. She doesn't bother anyone We renamed the restaurant the chicken coop. Oh the chicken pooped on the bench table that was an event for us..Food- my burger was totally fine. It was pretty beefy. Cole slaw was good. The mahi mahi tacos were ok. Grouper was soggy. Grilled mahi mahi was was good. Fries were good. Seating is decent but not overly comfortable and the table is slanted. Price was decent for that location. Would I eat here again? Um. Yes. Will all of my family,? Some say no. I will say none of...
