Wendy's — Restaurant in Kill Devil Hills

Realized when we got home that the two chicken sandwiches we had ordered were RAW!!! Called the shop and asked for a manager. She barely spoke English and argued with us over the phone about the quality of THEIR food. They asked us to drive 30 min back to the shop to replace the food. We called just to warn them that they were sending raw food out the door!!! NOT to get yelled at over the phone and hung up on. LAST time we will be eating there. I’ll never let that go..... A happy customer will tell 8-10 people about a positive experience. An unhappy customer will tell a HUNDRED people about their experience. We were doing them a favor by calling in to let them know of a possible health code violation. Having a manager there that is unable to communicate with their customers and represents the corporation by berating someone over the phone is the wrong type of image for the company. I rarely eat fast food. However we chose Wendy’s because they advertise fresh ingredients. A little too fresh for my liking. I could get past a mistake like that, but not the unprofessional manor in which the issue was handled...... Wendy’s in Kill Devil Hills just lost 3...

Second visit to this location. First time they totally messed up our order. Mostly due to a language barrier. Second time, we ordered two orders via door dash. When door dash delivered, the restaurant only prepared one out of two orders. Called door dash, who were beyond helpful and apologetic and refunded our meal even though it was a dropped ball with Wendy’s. When we called Wendy’s, the GM first said that there was two separate door dash drivers that picked up the two separate orders. Then after a few minutes on the phone going nowhere, she admitted that our order was in fact still sitting there and that she he dasher must not have requested both orders. I requested the order to be remade due to being cold. When I drove to the store, food was still cold. Drinks were mostly water. And the GM was beyond rude. Would...

Update: 9/15/21. Seems like quality has suffered the past few time we have ordered from the Kitty Hawk, NC location. The Sour-cream and Chives potato was hard, like it had been overcooked or sitting for a long time. Also, the chicken sandwich was cold and looks like the chicken is now cut very thin and mostly breading. This isn't the first time this has happened. I had to drop to three stars until they get it together again.

4 for $4, whoop whoop!! The best deal in town for a cheap meal. I usually get the Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger with mine. Love the drink machines...you can make all kinds of refreshing concoctions! And those Frosty's, perfect on a hot summer day!!! Don't forget about that hot potato covered in melted cheese and bacon...OMG! It's our go-to when we are tired of...
