KENDRICK is an amazing representation of Subway! I am more then happy to come and leave this review. This was after I was contemplating even coming to this location because usually the service here is very dry and not welcoming. Thanks to one visit with Kendrick I have a different look on this location.
I went in around 7pm, the store was very cleanly and bright. Kendrick welcomed us upon walking through the door and even made us laugh/smile as soon as we hit the counter to tell him our order. We ordered 2 sandwiches that were made like he wanted to make them for us lol if you know what I mean. Ingredients were placed with care and they were properly portioned. We definitely enjoyed our visit thanks to Kendrick. And the fact that he dresses up for the Children on Halloween really shows his heart as a person and as an employee that goes over and beyond!! This is also the first time I left a tip at Subway, and will also be returning thanks to him. All the associates here should really take a note from this man. It sucks that I have to take away stars but I’m leaving Kendrick’s review up because he deserves the praise. It seems like any time he isn’t here there is some kind of issue whether it be the sandwich or the service. This review is for EJ (if it wasn’t for Kendrick I’d leave one star), Subway needs to be rid of the guy. Whenever I come in to pick up my online order my sandwiches are handed right to me, so I was unaware that there was a designated area for “pick up” orders. When I entered the store there was no greeting from EJ. He stared blankly at me as I walked up to the counter. I let him know I was there for a pick up order and he just stood there staring at me. I say again “pick up for Abi” and he points to the left like I’m supposed to read his mind and know what he’s trying to tell me. I say for a third time, “I’m here to pick up an online order for Abi” and he finally opens his mouth and says “it’s over there”. The only 3 words he uttered during this time. I grab my sandwiches and as I walk out, not even a “have a good night”. Once I get home I’m even more disappointed to see this sorry excuse of a sandwich FJ put together. Very sloppy presentation and the sauces I asked for soaked the bread and made the sandwich soggy. Instead of putting the sauce IN the sandwich, he poured the sauce right at the opening of the sandwich resulting in it soaking the outside of my whole sandwich. I make an online order and if you have ever made any type of online order usually you have to provide a phone number to where you can be reached. Well I provided a number and I was never contacted about my order being changed nor the fact that I ordered a salad and got not lettuce and what I was told the reason for no lettuce was because I didn't myself add lettuce to my order when I was picking my toppings to my salad. I can order a ham sandwich and not asked to make sure i order ham with my sandwich but I have to make sure i order lettuce with my salad. I thought that was the main ingredient but better yet you have my cell number attached to my order why not call one to at least tell me you don't have the things for my order but also better make sure i don't want lettuce with my salad. I have mainly gone to subway in cove and always get treated great there. But here on ws young killeen. The staff was not very welcoming, and then when I turned around to get a drink they did not have the watermelon cucumber water. Then I asked for a refund and they didn't want to give me one, the lady said they usually don't give them, and that she would have to swipe the cc again to pay after she canceled the order completely. Then I said fine I'll just get sweet tea, but they didn't even have that and the drink containers looked molded as if they hadn't been washed in days.
