Honestly I hope our night was just a fluke but It forever will be embedded in our life as the worst NYE ever. Venue: The restaurant made it seem like they were almost sold out for this magical, champagne popping NYE Dinner celebration. Online it said, tables almost sold out, reserve now. When calling to ask about the NYE options I could tell they were pushing for a reservation. In all reality I would say they were at about 40% capacity that entire night. *The only thing special about the night is that they had an ice luge with glasses of champagne next to it (no included in the reservation). WHAT HAPPENED: Simple and to the point. Four of us dinned and did the full multi coursed NYE Dinner with pared drinks. I don’t recall the exact cost per person but it was close to $200 each. The food was subpar, the flavor was missing, the pairings were all over the board and in the end two of us felt sick and kept rushing to the restroom, and two of us didn’t even make it home and had to get a hotel room for the night. That’s how awful the pairings were. It did not taste like the food was fresh but maybe pre prepped for the “busy NYE Dinner”. We did reach out to the restaurant later, I believe a main chef contacted us back and asked my wife to please give them another chance and offered to send us a gift card. The gift card never showed up. We did however get a comp on the hotel room. Imagine our walk of shame the next morning in our NYE outfits… Not an Ideal NYE whatsoever. I’m sure the food here is ok on a typical night but maybe back in December of 2019 a fancy NYE dinner was over...
My mother and I thought it would be nice to try this restaurant for Mother’s Day brunch. In booking online, I asked if we could be seated outside and when it came time to be seated, amongst many open tables in the sun with a nice view, we got seated in the shade staring at the back of a TV by the entrance. There is a bench right by this table and numerous guests kept sitting and speaking extremely loud. My mother and I also watched someone let their dog urinate on the side of the building not too far from where we were seated. It was extremely off-putting. The waitress was nice but it took a long time for us to order and then around 20 minutes just to get our drinks. We noticed how understaffed they were and the waitress was getting hammered with negative comments and customers asking for things to be taken off the bill so because of this, we said nothing as to not make her day any worse. Drinks were good but we added a shot to my mother’s drink as it was non-alcoholic and they charged me $12 for Tito’s Vodka which was a few dollars less than the drink itself. I have never been charged that much for a shot and my jaw dropped to the floor when I received the bill. We each ordered an alcoholic drink, 1 appetizer and a meal and with the $25 service charge (OMG insane) and a normal tip, it came out to almost $170! I was so unimpressed and actually felt totally ripped off. Nothing we had as far as food, drink and service came close to amounting to the bill. Maybe they were having an off-day, but unfortunately, I will definitely not be coming here again and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone I know. It is definitely a shame because the restaurant...
Read moreService: Came here with some friends for restaurant week. My 5 years living in washington, this is the first restaurant I have been to where the service from the waitress was absolutely terrible. I normally understand if it’s busy or if someone is having a bad day but the waitresses with the curly hair was on a whole new level. First of all, it took her exactly 26 minutes to take our order and bring water to our table. Although that wasn’t a big deal, she came to our table with an attitude and it left a bad taste in our mouths. It was fairly busy and she did not write our orders down, resulting in 2 mistakes of our orders. Everyone in my group ordered alcohol so I instinctively showed her my ID and she rudely asked me why I am showing her my id if I didn’t order alcohol. She then scoffed at me. My 27 years living on this planet I never had a server scoff at me before. The hostess was kind and it made up for the bad taste the waitress left in my mouth.
Food: The three course meal was decent for 35$ for a hotel restaurant. I got the meatballs, halibut, and the Ice cream. The meatballs weren’t anything special but the sauce with the cheese was good. The halibut was a bit dry and bland but everything else on the plate was alright.
Overall: there are way better restaurants for less price in Kirkland. If you’re looking to come here for restaurant week I suggest looking...
