Late Nights, Lake Views & Lively Flavors, ftom the moment that flame, kissed chicken hit our table, we knew we’d found something special.
Port Peri Peri’s new Kirkland location has been open just 10 days and already feels like it’s been a neighborhood favorite for years.
We ordered two quarter white meat meals (breast and wing): one with the milder and mild sauce and the other with the medium for a little kick. Every bite was juicy and layered with that smoky, chargrilled flavor you can only get from a real flame. The sauces added personality and zingy, earthy, and deeply craveable.
Now let’s talk sides. The peri fries were Golden and addictively seasoned. The flame-grilled corn on the cob with lemon and herb sauce was sweet, tart, and smoky in the best way. The rice was soft and satisfying, and the perimayo corn? Creamy, rich, with just the right hit of spice.
The portion size is just right. Although some reviewers believe the portion sizes are small. However, It is important to understand that the chicken is organic, cage free with no added hormones.
And then there’s Aslam, the owner. He’s not just running a restauran, he’s hosting a celebration. Friendly, genuine, and passionate about what he does, he made sure we felt right at home. Before we left, he surprised us with their house chai tea which was a warm, fragrant, and deeply comforting surprise. The kind of gesture that turns a great meal into a memorable experience.
Bonus points: Port Peri Peri is one of the few waterfront spots in Kirkland that keeps the lights on late, open until 10PM Sunday, 11 PM Monday through Thursday and 12AM Friday and Saturday.
During the winter months, Aslam and his customer experience focused team provide covered and heated patio seating outside so you never have to go far for a food during late nights.
Whether you’re strolling by the lake or catching a bite after hours, they’ve got you covered. :)
If you haven’t made your way to Port Peri Peri yet, It’s a Kirkland MUST TRY!

Read moreI stopped by The Port of Peri Peri in Kirkland on a whim, and I’m so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, the place had a really welcoming feel — clean, modern, and full of that amazing grilled aroma that immediately makes you hungry. The staff were super friendly and patient, even though it was busy when I arrived. They took the time to explain the menu and helped me choose the right spice level (I went with medium, which had the perfect kick).
The food came out fresh and hot, and honestly, it was even better than I expected. The chicken was tender, juicy, and full of smoky, flavorful peri peri seasoning — you can tell it’s marinated properly and grilled with care. The sides were also great; I had the peri fries and coleslaw, and both were excellent. The fries had just the right amount of seasoning, and the coleslaw was crisp and refreshing, balancing out the spice perfectly.
I also tried their garlic bread and a side of rice — both were really tasty and felt freshly made, not the usual filler sides you get at other places. You can tell they take pride in every dish they serve.
What really stood out was how everything felt consistent — the food, service, and atmosphere all matched up perfectly. The portions were generous for the price, and everything tasted clean and high quality. The manager even stopped by my table to ask how the meal was, which was a really nice touch.
It’s rare to find a place that does flame-grilled chicken this well. The flavors reminded me of classic peri peri spots I’ve tried abroad, but with a more personal touch. This location definitely does it right.
I’ll absolutely be coming back — next time I’m trying the extra hot sauce and maybe one of their wraps. Highly recommend this spot whether you’re dining in with family or just grabbing a quick meal to go. Kirkland needed a...
Read moreIn response to the owner comments to my review....,.. Regarding your smart comment about calling you before I stop buy so someone will welcome me this only shows your lack of experience in running a restaurant. You need to learn to listen ti your customers comments and improve. When you are charging a 50 dollars for a chicken then you need to have the staff at the front counter to welcome the customers and answer their questions. This is a restaurant not a gas station. Your answer to my review reflects your lack of knowledge and skills in the restaurant business. Many customers walked out for the same reason. By the way I have more than ten years experience in the most successful restaurants and I eat out daily. So I know ....,
I walked in this place last Saturday and I lost interest in ordering. First of all the place is so small and no customers service with prices match full service restaurants if not even more expensive ????? It's chicken not steak ? Half a chicken only for around 25.00 and no side dishes??????
No one was there to even answer any questions. I heard people were talking in the back but I could not understand them. But no one there to help at all.
The people that were ahead of me walked out too without ordering and I walked out too. The place is not welcoming when you walk in. The first impression was not a...
