My girlfriend and I love Lady Yum Macaron’s, but I’m extremely disappointed in the business right now. I ordered a pack of 15 macarons to be shipped this last Thursday (February 13th). I put in the order on Tuesday, February 11th and instantly got my confirmation e-mail which said it would be shipped on the 13th and that I would receive an e-mail when it had been shipped.
After not receiving a message saying they were shipped on the 13th, and not being delivered on the 14th, I sent Lady Yum an e-mail asking for an update for my order, and how I was really hoping to receive my order before Monday.
It is now Sunday, and I have not heard back from Lady Yum about my order, nor have I received a shipment e-mail. I am going to be out of town for a few days this week and was really hoping they’d be here before I left. It’s not looking like it will happen.
DO NOT order Lady Yum to be delivered, they are completely unreliable with this aspect of their business.
Update: Lady Yum took a few days to respond, but they did get back to me and were helpful. I was told that the person who responds to these e-mails does not work on the weekends, which is also a rule I have for myself, and the message was received right after they had left for the weekend. I understand this practice because it’s one I also hold myself too.
I was told that my address cannot be one that can delivered to overnight, and would have to take two days, despite living just over an hour away (a bit more with traffic). While I completely understand this as well, I believe I should have been notified when there was a realization that my order couldn’t be shipped over night. I was told that they have too many delivery orders to be able to do this, which I can also understand as a smaller business. I have changed my review from a 1 star to a 3 star completely based on the customer service I received once I was responded to. I will continue to be a devout Lady Yum customer, but am definitely going to go into the store when I want some...
Read moreThis is the perfect place to satisfy your sweet tooth after brunch with the girls. Cute, quaint atmosphere. Decorations galore. Plus wine, yes - they have wine. Reminds me a bit of a bridal shower vibe... and I like it.
Tasting the rainbow meets cookie. So many delicious flavors to choose from you may just forget the $2/each price tag. Better snap your story before they sell out of all the good flavors cause these babies are going fast. We only bought 5 macarons this time around, promised we would back once they restocked. Buy more than $15 and you get a deal and fancy box. We will probably go that route next time and grab a stamp card as well.
We tried a few of the signature flavors: Chocolate Mint, Toasted Coconut, Salted Caramel and Toffee Tent. We felt a little festive so we also threw in a Sugar Plum. We will be back for the Raspberry Chardonnay and Lemon. Delicious. Our favorites were the Toasted Coconut and the Chocolate Mint. The macaron was light and chewy, filling sweet, but not too sweet. Definitely worth every penny. The outside was decorated, everything was picture perfect.
Since we didn't want to eat it all at once, we went home and placed the remaining macarons in the fridge. I highly regret not allowing the Salted Caramel to come to room temperature before I sunk my teeth into this delicate cookie. Cookie crumbles everywhere. The caramel was very hard due to being in the fridge. Ouch. Lesson learned. To be completely honest I missed the creamy texture in the middle of the cookie, caramel inside the macaroon was not really my thing. Still good, just a painful and sticky lesson.
Lady Yum you've outdone yourself. Thanks for the macarons. We will be back, can't wait to try some...
Read moreDrove 45 mins to come to Lady Yum after getting a recommendation from a friend, and it was totally worth it!
I don't remember the last time I had good French Macarons was, so I was really looking forward to this.
The options of flavors was just unbelievable! We had some really nice seasonal ones still related to fruit like percussion fruit, lavender, watermelon, peach. And then all the regular ones like th vanilla, espresso, strawberry, chocolate, oatmeal cookie, toffee, raspberry chardonnay, salted caramel.
I went for the Vanilla bean and the Raspberry Chardonnay and they were just beyond amazing! The shells were just perfectly fresh and crispy, and a really beautiful filling as well! The vanilla was simple and perfect and I think I might even have like that the most! The raspberry was perfectly sweet as well and even had a jam filling on the inside. Such a beauty!
My friend got the Almond Peach Prosecco , Wild Strawberry and Raspberry Chardonnay as well, and really loved them all! I tried both first two as well and they were really nice. Very fruit-y!
Another friend had the Salted Caramel and the Wild Strawberry, and all she had to say was 'Oh My God' on repeat! Even mention how these are beyond any other macarons she has ever had before!
The store has a really cute aesthetic vibe; very photogenic!
The person working at the counter was really nice as well. We really connected on our understanding of keeping a palate when having desserts; especially after I mentioned I have a food blog. She also have us extra macaroons from the ones that weren't pretty enough to make the cut for sale, but we're still...
