The food is DELICIOUS but the service is AWFUL. They really need to figure out a better system and have employees be more diligent about getting customersā orders completed in a timely manner. Both times I went to this location, I waited for 30+ minutes for my order. The first time they gave my smoothie away to the wrong my person. I had to wait for another one and they certainly didnāt rush to make me a new one, even though it was their mistake. Then I still was waiting a while for my mozzarella caprese sandwich. The second time I went a week later. I was given my smoothie right away but then waited and waited and waited some more for my food order. There was a customer who cancelled his order while we we waiting because he said he saw the girl in the back drop the spatula and just put it back on the counter like no big deal. We were waiting so long that I finally had to walk over to watch the people making my food to see what in the world was taking so long to make 2 sandwiches. Then my order was finally being prepared and I was given my food. Both times the employees never apologized for their mistake or the wait time. The second time, the girl behind the counter was standing around trying to look busy, then chatting with the other employees about the spatula situation loud enough that we could hear them. Very unprofessional. Just really disappointed that both times I went it was an extremely long wait and the employees seemed to have no sense of urgency, except for maybe the guy in the back making the looked busy and overwhelmed. Perhaps they have too many people working on the smoothies and only one person in food, which makes no sense because obviously it is a busy location at the loop. I have worked in food service and I am always very patient and understanding when it comes to these situations. But honestly this was just ridiculous to have to wait so long for our food order and to not even have the employees say something, anything to show they felt bad that we had to wait soooo long. Just a bad experience. I will try ordering on the app and hope that it tells you when itās ready so I donāt have to stand there for so long feeling like Iām just a burden to the employees. Expected to wait 10/15 mins, depending on how many are waiting in the store, there were probably 10 people including myself once I stepped inside. 15 minutes passed and I could see other customers getting agitated because nothing had happened in that time, no drinks put up, no sign of an employee communicating with anyone about updates on orders waiting. 20 mins passed, and a couple that had been the last to walk in somehow got their order before everyone else. Other customers immediately complained, and rightfully so, because they had been waiting longer than I had at 20 mins. No sign of management, 5/6 employees behind the plexi glass, laughing and joking (everyone in the store could hear everything they were saying), definitely not working through the orders that have been piling up. Those that had complained in that moment eventually were ātaken care ofā by the āassistant managerā who Iāll give was polite in that moment but clearly had no handle on the running of the operation and its employees. I continued to wait a little longer, I work in hospitality, I like to be as patient as possible when Iām a customer elsewhere, but then over 30 mins passed and myself and a few other patrons were STILL waiting. Another employee approached and started asking confirmation of what our orders were, and I guess they would start making them (after all that time?!). I told her my order, (just ONE smoothie), she left and then came back to explain they were just now going to start making it but it would be another 10 mins (another 10 mins?!?!) I didnāt want to bother her so I could read the menu fast, so I just asked her for the avocado cheese grill sandwich to my niece because I didnāt see the kids menu, and I told her āitās for my niece, just take off the avocadoā and she was ābut itās not for kids itās bigā and I said āthatās fine, just need a grill cheese for her, take off the avocadoā and instead of offered me the kids menu she just took my order and left to seat in a table⦠like⦠what???
