I ordered here twice- 1st time was take out and 2nd time it was to go but we ate inside. Now, I've had authentic Vietnamese and Korean foods from different states, so I'm very familiar with the taste.
The 1st Pho broth was strangely sweet which can be cut with a squeeze of the lime. The 2nd broth was a little better but still a lil sweet. But the steak and brisket were very very BLAND. The steak was too thick, chewy and when added to the broth, it turned the soup grey and bland. The brisket had a lot of iridescent sheen to it which I don't like. To me that's indicative of improper storage and handling. The packaging (plating) of the first pho was very nice and plentiful. The 2nd time with the brisket was not.
The 3 baos were ok but the jalapeno stick inside that they failed to mention makes everything spicy which I don't like. I can't eat spicy food. The tempura shrimp had more breading than shrimp. The fried chicken barley had meat, and the bulgogi and grilled pork were okay. At least the bao was soft and sweet. The crab salad looked old or was left out in the open too long bc the mayo had darkened.
The chicken wings were the WORST of all. You want really good Korean chicken wings try 92 Chicken on Colonial (it's out of the way but worth it). That weird breading on the wing did not bind well to the sauce, it became soggy real fast, and it flaked off all over my clothes. The soy garlic sauce was strangely tangy. Lastly the passion galaxy was good but ridiculously overpriced. All of their drinks are. They charge 1.25$ for different kind of boba making the drink almost 7$ for just juice. I could have gotten Menchis with that.
I don't know why this place have high reviews but this place AIN'T it. With these practices, I can see this place not lasting long or their reviews plummeting, and a lot of ppl getting sick. I don't recommend this place. Eat here at your own risk!
Btw, you want real good Pho, try Twenty Pho Hour...
Read moreLots of hype around this place! It is good, very good, but not QUITE great. The boba itself is the best I’ve ever had. Clearly homemade which is clear as you can see the entire station where it’s made behind the counter.
Let’s start with the food: Bao Flight - Bulgolgi Beef, Fried Chicken, and Pork. These were good. The typical bao sandwiches you would expect to get anywhere. I would order again.
The Korean Corn Dog, 1 Elotes and 1 Crunchy Ramen - these were so good. The elotes tastes a lot of just Parmesan, but the beef hotdog and mozzarella inside were both juicy and had a great cheese pull. The ramen one was extremely crunchy and paired well with the sweet chili sauce.
Now the Milk Tea: We ordered their famous brown sugar milk tea and the Thai tea (our usual go to anywhere) iced with brown sugar boba. Again, the actual boba is the best I’ve had anywhere. Perfectly chewy but soft, and great flavor and bite. The actual milk tea was more of just milk with just a hint of tea. More reminiscent of a tiger latte than actual milk tea.
My biggest complaints: 1 - order updates from their system don’t exist. My order probably still stays confirmed (there’s a whole timeline system there, they just don’t use it). 2 - one of the guys packing orders was drinking a milk tea like it was his last milk, all while handling other people’s drinks and food. He was constantly drinking at the same time as packing an order. Not sanitary or professional when it’s right at the counter for...

Over a couple of decades, I’ve tried a lot of boba tea places all over central FL and beyond; I’ve had different varieties, and make my own at home, frequently. This place is in a convenient location over in the Loop West shopping center. The prices are typical/slightly overpriced for what they offer.
I’m sharing my most recent experience here: Less than a week ago, I stop in and share some feedback on the last drink I had. (I purchased my drink to-go 48 hours before and have never had issues in the past.) It’s a matcha flavored cream topping over a taro milk tea. This combination sounds amazing, but NOPE, there was zero flavor. It tasted like watery (iced) plain milk. I did request a remake if possible, but I was offered nothing. Not even an apology for the super bland drink that costs around $7 with the tip. I ended up ordering a drink for my daughter that came out more bitter than I had remembered from the last time.
Since I live right around the corner and have been in several times, I told management that I wouldn’t return. After all, there’s Milk Tea on the other side of The Loop and they appreciate my repeat business. The other experiences I’ve had here were mediocre at best, but I’m one to support small businesses so I kept coming back, until now.
One positive that I can share is that they do try and accommodate my good friend’s food allergies. Hence 2 stars...
