bought a new key fob for my Chevy in January. Within a month it had lost its programming and I went back and got it reprogrammed without any problems at all the gentleman who helped me was very nice and very helpful. About a week ago the key fob started acting up again. I called and asked what I should do and was told to bring the car and the key fob in and they would reorder me a new key fob. That was 5 days ago but because of an emergency in my family I could not get there until today. (30 minutes from my home) Today I was greeted by a man whose name I couldn't read because he had too many stickers on his badge and was told that it wasn't their problem although he did replace the battery and that I need to take my car to a mechanic to have the codes read on it because there's probably an electrical problem. when I assured him there were no electrical problems he informed me that sometimes you can't see things like that that things like health and everything else don't always show up all the time and there could be something going on. I was also informed today that my fob should never have been reprogrammed in the first place, just a battery change. I'd like to add that both the original fobs still lock and unlock the vehicle - I got a replacement because the buttons are missing. I have worked in retail management for years and if one of my employees was as rude, dismissive and condescending as the person I dealt with today they would be coached and probably written up. I was told to bring the fob in to order a new one, I was told absolutely not happening today because an INTERMITTENT problem couldn't be replicated even though I explained on Thursday the issue was intermittent and was told that it wasn't an issue they'd replace it Your staff needs to get on the same page and at least one of them needs to not assume women are stupid (which is exactly how he came across) I assure you if the fob acts up again I will be...
Read moreBatteries Plus offers horrible phone repair services.
Newman the so-called manager at the Knightdale store is more interested in diagnosing the scratches on my phone than the actual problem. He claims Samsung will not honor warranty due to scratches on the outer casing.
They sent me to two stores and the first one (Durham) claimed they didn't have the correct tool after ordering the parts and taking my phone in for service.
After dropping off my phone, the first repair guy is leaving me a message before I get to work 15 mins later claiming he does not have the proper tool to do the repair. So they sent me to Knightdale who is supposed to complete the repair.
I get to Knightdale a week later because they have to ship the part to the other store. And then Newman, the self proclaimed manager is a professional warranty expert for Samsung per his nonchalant smug voice. They wasted 2 weeks of my time knowing they were not going to repair my phone.
Fortunately, I went to a different company (I Break U FIx) and my phone was repaired with a different resolution and diagnosis by trained professionals and not fake technicians.
Save your money and time by not going to this store or the Durham store for phone repairs.I will buy a new phone before going to this place again.
I really don't appreciate how they made me feel as a customer. Newman's handling of me from the very first call showed clear avoidance of addressing my issue. He needs more training if he is a true manager.
These guys at both stores claim they are so busy but there is never anyone in the store. Durham is no better. The guy who ordered my part let the other guy look for the part for ten minutes and then spoke loud enough that he never told me he had the part on hand a day before.
You all have lost a good customer due to poor customer...
Read moreFirst off I had to give the store at least a 1 Star for a review. Wish there was an option for NEGATIVE stars because thats what I would give them. Will never step foot in this store again. Took my sons iPad in for repairs due to a cracked screen. I picked the iPad up 2 days later, took it home for my son to say the home button did not feel right. Took the unit back to the store and was informed the home button needed to have an adhesive put around the home button. Picked the unit up 2 days later to find out the unit was rebooting continuously and would not charge. Additionally while trying to get the unit to charge the screen cracked again. Took the iPad back to show the store and was informed that we cracked the screen, how could we have crack the screen when the unit sat on a table plugged into the charger and wasn’t moved until my son went to check the status.
Took the iPad to someplace other than Batteries Plus and was given a list of things that was wrong with the iPad plus pictures: Screws that hold the battery in place we’re missing, explains the charging and rebooting issues. Piece of the home button was missing. Plastic area on the iPad was melted, appears to be the result of having heat gun in one area too long. My son now has the iPad back from repairs from other place for over a day and no problems so far. The place I took it to after the bad experience with Batteries Plus Knightdale, NC was able to fix all the issues except melted plastic for less money, better quality parts and better...
