Parlor Doughnuts — Restaurant in Knoxville

I came here on grand opening day around 5:40pm (20 minutes to close) and was turned away because they said it would be closing time by the time I got to the front of the line, but they gave me a voucher for a free donut that I could use today.

I really appreciate that they did that for me, because I was not only able to partake in all of the menu items that I intended to get (along with the free donut offer), but I also didn't have to wait in a long line to get them today.

Anyway, I got the iced matcha latte with oat milk. I love the flavor and the fact that it is not overly sweet. I also got the avocado toast, which is packed with flavor and has a nice mix of crunch from the toast, creaminess from the avocado, and softness from the egg. My boyfriend got the cold brew with a splash of whole milk and the chorizo taco. He really enjoyed both.

We haven't tried all of our donuts yet since we're taking the rest home, but the maple bacon donut is really good. It has a nice sweet and savory combination, and I love the flakey layers of the donut itself. I'm really excited to try the rest of our donuts and come back for more on our next visit. They're really friendly here too, and they're only a few blocks down from the Old City, which is reasonable walking distance if you're already in the downtown area. Came in on a week day around noon to try this hyped up donuts. The place was completely empty of customers when i arrived.

I was greeted by a friendly staff member and ordered a few donuts and a breakfast sandwich.

The food was good. The breakfast sandwich hit the spot and the donuts came in a wide range of flavors. I think the concept was a bit overhyped though. I wasn’t blown away by anything food-wise but i wasn’t disappointed either.

I could not get past the fact that the dining area was dirty. The floor was incredibly sticky it nearly pulled my sandals off my feet! The tables seemed clean enough and there was a mirror in one corner that was covered in little kid handprints 🤢 I ended up taking my food outside for fear that it would get stuck if i sat down. Dining room cleanliness when it’s not busy somewhere makes me question their hygiene- especially when it gets busy.

Overall, it was fine. I might come back here if I’m looking for a bite while in the neighborhood but i probably won’t go out of my way to come back again like i...

UPDATED REVIEW. I was reached out to you by management that recommended I give it another try. Again like usual the place was absolutely gorgeous. Speaking with the manager my concerns were addressed very thoroughly and was able to see what was going on with the processing of the donuts that were there prior. We spoke about all incidents and I felt very comfortable with the way that they were addressed. After seeing the way that the gluten free donuts are supposed to come out they were delicious they're soft not chewy and didn't crumble. The regular donuts this time we're thoroughly cooked and we're very close to the consistency of a croissant. My daughter was very pleased with it and this time finished half of a donut. The latte was a good temperature flavor was smooth and not overpowering with the caramel.
