We had quite the experience here. I’ll lead with saying we also tried the recently opened Marcos in south meridian after it opened. That location was rocking with plenty of staff and great food. The experience we had at the new Kuna Marcos was anything but that.
We placed an online pick up order. Pick up ready time said 30 minutes. So, we head there at the designated time. There are multiple people waiting. The kind girl at the checkout said our order would be 45 more minutes. I opted to just go ahead and cancel it because I didn’t want to wait that long, but the supervisor chimed in and said it would only be another 20 minutes. That seemed not as bad so headed out and waited in the car. It did end up being about another 45 minutes and there were so many people waiting for so long.
The wait isn’t really the bad part. There were obviously a lot of people who were upset and confused on the long wait times, and after a while, the poor employee at the front counter was literally in tears. It was very clear that they had nowhere near the amount of staff that was needed to run the store, especially with it being a new location that was bound to be busy. The poor employees were being yelled at and you could tell we’re so obviously stressed out. Shame on the franchisee and management for keeping a new store open with way less than adequate staffing. I’ve never see such a mess for a newly opened restaurant before. If management and ownership can’t staff it well enough, they should either close up for the day, or have their own boots on the ground to help keep it going. I hope the poor employees there are okay. Again, shame on the people responsible for staffing!
Once it was finally received, pizza was okay. About half of the pizza was crust… I assume the order was made pretty hastily considering the staffing issues. It as okay but not nearly as good as previous Marcos trips. For now, I’d recommend skipping this one and sticking to the south...

I asked for a second one of each. I was told $1 for each extra sauce. I ordered the same thing last week, and there was no extra charge. Asked for the manager. Pleasant, over-explained the situation, but gave me the extras for free. Much appreciated. But said the regional manager had made the decision to charge for extras. Not very customer friendly, but I understand costs. I also asked for napkins, but was told they were out. Okay, I was going with the flow up until then, but a pizza place that runs out of napkins...maybe the regional manager should focus more on the basics such as staying in stock on napkins. Read moreI must say these guys did awesome! I enjoy a thin crust pizza " because I do not like all the bread," well I was not able to figure out the terminology in the app to insure it was thin. Some people's thin is still thick to a degree. I called in and the person who answered was very help ful. According to my receipt it is Orser taker 88209 Oden, well he explained the thin crust was a quarter inch thick and that the app may not specify this. That was great, so I ordered an meat medium pizza with that and and he helped me with a medium half and half. I arrived it was ready and when I got home to eat it, well it was GREAT.
