Gosh I'm so confused with this. Reviews are great but wow was this place a miss on most fronts. Everything was fine, even when they placed my "Efrain burger" in front of me I was excited, I mean look at the photo!. That's when things took a turn for the worst. I'll back up and mention that the server never asked how I wanted my burger prepared , which to me personally is typically a great sign. I always answer with "Whatever the chef prefers" anyway. Whelp, the burger was basically burned. Quality of the meat did taste fresh outside of being way way over cooked (yes, 2 ways is justifiable here). The brioche bun was stale, yes stale. I'm not being a princess here but at the price point of 12.95 the bun being stale is a huge let down. Not to mention all typical diner ordered condiments which I'm not really complaining about but okay, we have all tasted these pickles before and absolutely take away from any unique flavors like the cilantro chipotle mayo (which was a determining factor in my ordering of this burger). Nope, the entire burger tasted of stale bun, burnt meat, and the same (insert food vendor name here) pickles. I'm sorry it seems like I'm beating the place up but this was absolutely what happened here. What's more, it took me flagging down someone in order to get an extra side of the cilantro chipotle mayo, the waiter actually sat down my check at that same time. At this point I was halfway through the burger and was never once asked how everything was or if I needed anything, nope, straight to "here's your check now so get out". Obviouslt I'm being dramatic with my words but that is exactly what happened. The fries, looked great but needed to be in the fryer a bit longer. Soggy for the most part. Anyway, what a sad sad place that suffers from mediocrity and a lack of caring. Based on the previous reviews I was under the impression this would be a place with a chef or chefs that cared about what they serve, I was strongly mistaken. If you want a very common place diner meal, by all means eat here. Otherwise there are a plethora of far superior options at even a couple of bucks less. Would like to try their...
Read moreCame here August 10 around 7:30 am with my partner. We got sad very quickly by a man. He served us the coffee and when he came around again to bring us water we were ready but he told us our waitress would be right with us.
It took another 10 min for the waitress to come to us. We both order our food and then waited 10 min for our food to come out. Not bad on waiting time. I asked the waitress for more creamer and she forgot to do that. We were almost done with the coffee and the the man that sat us was behind us on the other booths serving coffee he never approach us with the coffee pot. We also notice him picking up dirty plates as he pass by from other tables. Once we had ours at the end. He didn't bother to take it.
By then the waitress came to us and we let her know we need it more coffee and sugar. Which this time she did remember what to bring. Once we got done. She brought us our bill and my partner paid cash. A guy picked up the check and I saw the waitress ring us up. She then brought back our cash. I noticed she kept the cents. Like what makes her decide what to bring us back. It doesn't matter what the lose change was.
I would not come back to this place since we felt not wanted. The waitress was kind of short and wearing glasses. Seemed off since she lighly smacked one of her co workers during working hours. Didn't seem professional to me.
The food was so little. We compare it to another spot we went the next day and this food was mediocre on their serving. I didn't like how they served the corned beef hash.
Please teach your waitress to not steal customers change, little by little it adds up to her...
Read moreFirst time coming here, and I will NOT come back again. The service wasn't so bad. It was the server selling the daily specials with items that were not a part of the special. Didn't know I was going to pay extra until I received my bill. I then asked why was I being charged for some items, to which the reply was "because you added them." She then proceeded to tell me that the prices for extra stuff were in the menu, but what if I didn't look at the menu? What if you just sold me by telling me about the specials? I've worked in food service, and I know that if I'm offering an item that is not part of the 'deal', I tell the customer it is an extra cost. And I am not mad about paying an extra $1-2 for some items, I'm mad that I was not told about it and that she didn't even apologize for it. Just kept saying the menu had the prices for extra add-ons. When it came to the food, it wasn't the best either. The side of hashbrown we received was close to nothing, and don't get me started on the waffle. I don't know how to describe the waffle but as an empty waffle. There was no fluff, nothing but edges. So disappointed. And then to top off this beautiful experience, there is an extra charge on credit cards that we didn't even know about until we got the bill. They have a sign about it on the entrance door but it is all messed up because of the outside weather. So upset I wasted money here for......
