I have been visiting this location for many years—even back when it operated out of the gas station—and have always appreciated the food and atmosphere. However, my recent visit with my family was incredibly disappointing due to the poor customer service and lack of professionalism we experienced.
Although we were seated at a table, our order was automatically placed to-go without any discussion. I’m not sure who eats gumbo while driving, but that decision alone felt like an underlying message that we weren’t welcome to dine in.
When we ordered drinks, we were told one hadn’t been paid for. That was not a problem—I’m more than willing to pay for anything I order and don’t expect anything for free. What was frustrating was that the manager refused to come speak with us. I was instead told to contact Jamie Stelly, which I did by calling the office number. I’m still waiting on a response.
To make matters worse, Ms. Taylor, the waitress, made it clear that our table was not in her section and rudely dismissed us. She made no effort to assist us or ensure we were being helped, even as she continued to serve and check in with the other tables around us.

Yes, I used to work in the restaurant business, so I understand that the cooks close down when they can, but at 7:50 PM the doors were closed and locked and they didn’t rush to the door until I pointed at the sign. When they finally decided to let me in, because technically they are still open, I asked to order a Muffalatta sandwich, which if I am not mistaken is one of the most expensive sandwiches they have as a whole sandwich, they told me the cooks shut everything down and to have goodnight. No rush to make it quick. No urgency. Worst experience I have had after being a dedicated customer for years and always bragging about their food, their service, and the Muffalatta ESPECIALLY!
