IHOP — Restaurant in Lafayette

Today was just not our day......the wait for a table was about 45 min. We were seated then it took about 20 min to get waited on...then maybe another 20 min to get drinks. When we sat down we were told that we could not have a high chair for the baby when they had 3 highchairs right by us. Long story short we were there for about 3 hours. We finally gave up on the dream of getting a refil or syrup. Who needs syrup on pancakes at Ihop anyway right? We finally got all of our food about 2 hours and 45 min after we got there then we had to go to the front to get our check because there were about 6 waitresses and the hostess talking instead of working. Then we finally had enough and packed up our food to go so that we could go home and have catsup and syrup and salt and pepper and a drink with our food. As we were leaving the hostess came to check on us to see how we were doing. There were at least 5 tables that came after us who got their food before we did. Some of them had even eaten and left by the time we got our food. And dont think for a min that it was busy. After 2 hours and 45 minutes there were not many people left. Just the 12 tables that got food before we did. Everyone was wearing a mask but social distancing was non-existent, not when 25 people are all piled up into the 10×10 lobby. Since this pandemic we have hardly gone anywhere and we had a baby with us and people were piled on top of us like if we were at a guns and roses concert. Isn't there an ordinance against this now? This is the most unprofessional thing that I have seen in a long time. I will never go back over there and I would give them zero stars but I was not given...

This is I have to say THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD!!! It wasn’t the server that did anything wrong. She was a wonderful server and did everything right and her name was Lacey. I ordered my food and from where I was sitting at table 18 and I could see the kitchen serving my food on the table for the servers to grab. I saw one of the kitchen crew drop one of my sausages off the plate onto the table and PICKED IT UP WITH HIS BARE HADS NO GLOVES and put it back onto my plate. When the food got to our table, we told Lacey what we had saw happen and she brought our sausages back to have them remade. We then heard the MANAGER TRISH start yelling “well what do they expect” through the store. Trish then brought our fresh sausages out and Sarcastically she said “what was wrong with your sausage?” My sister ignored her attitude and trish repeated her question again and my sister said “everything is fine NOW” she mugged my sister while standing at the table and walked away with an attitude. We looked back and she was still staring at us while she was walking away mugging us as if she was waiting for us to say something back. It was not only us that had a problem it was also two other tables near us. This is unacceptable for a MANAGER to be acting this was towards a customer. I will NEVER come back if she’s running the shift. This is terrible. Of all the times I have come to IHOP I have never had such a horrible experience especially from a MANAGER!!! Something needs to be done about this a manager should never speak or look that way...

I eat at IHOP probably 2 to 3 times a month. Tonight was my daughters wedding party and we all went out to eat and the restaurant was next door to IHOP. Instead of parking on their lot I decided to park way back in the back behind IHOP. Had no idea to be honest that it was even IHOP's parking lot considering how far back in the back behind the building it is located yet when I come back out of the restaurant my truck has been towed by R&R Towing. there were probably AT LEAST 100 open parking stalls in the back of that store so it's not like the parking lot was full. I checked & they do have signs up but there's only like 4 & they're very small & easy to miss not to mention when I pulled up it was after 8 p.m. & pitch dark outside. I cannot believe IHOP is such a pathetic restaurant to stoop to this kind of level. 1 thing is for sure I will never ever ever park on their parking lot again bc I will never visit the restaurant for the rest of my life & I will never use a towing company that participates in such standards. Must be really desperate for money to treat people this way. I hope your company goes belly up bc I will NEVER use you that’s for sure! I will make sure everyone knows just how pathetic Ihop & R&R towing are & I will be contacting a lawyer considering the fact the stalls are not marked as ihop only. You have at best 4 really small signs up stating its ihop parking & you can barely spot them. Pathetic!! Also this is the ihop in Lafayette la and r&r...
