I visited this Outback Steakhouse location with my mom for the very first time on 3/20/22, and Theresa was our server. The price was definitely worth it, and we got way more food than expected! (editing to say I think I might have spelled her name wrong, as other reviewers spelled her name as Teresa. If there's no H, I'm very sorry!) Theresa was very helpful and patient. She assured my mom her steak would have no spices or seasonings, and that was completely true! Theresa was easily the most friendly and patient server we've ever met. I had a blooming onion and it was the best I've ever had! For a more full, in depth review, please read on.
I am forever thankful for Theresa's patience, her knowledge of the menu, and her help. She gave her personal opinions on menu items when my mom was having some difficulty trying to decide what to order, as she's very sensitive to spices, and unable to handle spicy food. (I, on the other hand, LOVE spicy food. That information will be relevant later.)
In the end mom decided on the 6oz Sirloin paired with coconut shrimp. Theresa assured her that the steak would be made with no spices or seasonings. We are both very ecstatic to say that she was absolutely correct!! Outback Steakhouse is THE ONLY restaurant that has kept the promise of avoiding spices and all seasonings upon request. This was the only steak my mom has ever received that was made to absolute perfection: no seasonings, just barely charred, and cooked to a 'well done' perfection. It's so very rare to see my mom actually finish a steak that she hadn't prepared herself, and so we were both extremely happy that she was able to!
The crew in the kitchen really went above and beyond for my mom, not only with the steak, but also by keeping the salt on the skin of her baked potato to a minimum! The side of mac and cheese, which Theresa suggested as the kid's version to be extra sure there would be no seasonings or spices, was probably some of the best she's ever had as well.
To whomever prepared that steak -- you are amazing. Thank you so much.
I had the Blooming Onion and I can say with one hundred percent guarantee that this was the best blooming onion I have EVER had! It was also the largest blooming onion I've ever seen! There were so many petal slices, and each were small, easy to dip, and so very flavorful. The breading had just the right amount of heat, and the dip was absolutely magnificent. I wasn't able to finish it all so Theresa gave me a box to take it home in. (Thank you again for the large cup of sauce I got to take home. It was very delicious with the fresh bread I had as a side with my leftover onion petals.) It was just as amazing once it was warmed up the next day, which I find is rare when it comes to fried food. I was so very pleased with this!
We will DEFINITELY be back! If any staff member reads this, please give Theresa another big 'thank you' from Daniel and Evelyn. You truly made our...
Read moreNot a good experience, We were on a wait list and was told about an hour no problem it was a Saturday night and they were busy. We arrived when the hour was up and was told another 30 mins. We were seated in about 15 mins so not bad for as busy as they were. We sat at our table for 10 mins with no service from anyone, I asked the waitress at a the table beside us if she was our waitress she said no but would find out who was to be helping us, another 10 mins went by and still nothing. The lady at the table next to us told her waitress that we had not been helped yet, finally a manager came to our table apologized for our wait and took our order. She informed us that she would have her top waitress help us. We received our drinks but no straws or silverware. Our appetizer was delivered from someone in the back as we still had not seen an actual waitress. Our food was delivered a short time later from another person in the back. Still no waitress and we had to ask for silverware and straws. Finally after we received our food and were half through our meal the "head" waitress came over to see how our food was. The food was ok, steaks were very highly seasoned. I like a little flavor but this was way over seasoned to the point we had to scrape what seasoning we could off the steaks in order to eat it. Our meal for 2 people was 2 soft drinks, a blooming onion one filet with baked potato, a ribeye with baked potato which cost us $98. Now I have no problem paying a $100 for a nice steak dinner for two but I do have a problem paying that for no service basically asking anyone around to help us and then not being able to eat the steak without scraping all the seasoning off. I understand they were busy and people sometimes get overlooked but this was not just being overlooked this was being completely ignored! I feel as if they should have taken some $ off our bill for the absolute horrible service and the not so great food. Lesson learned I will not be returning to this...
Read moreNot too bad, however, too much "seasoning" which seemed like just salt on top of salt on all the meat items. I ordered a medium well sirloin which was cooked perfect, and my guest had the lobster tail. When we told the waiter who was very nice and did a pretty good job, he apologized and asked if I wanted a new streak re-done with less seasoning. Since we had a toddler who was pretty much over the whole dinner by that time I opted for nothing so we could just go before the baby started throwing a giant fit. The manager who was also very nice came by to apologize and said they use a bunch of different seasonings and the waiter should have advised this as some people think it's too much. And she took off the steak, we did let her know that the lobster also seemed the same way, and apparently they use the same seasoning on that too. I have not been to an outback steakhouse in many years, but omg the few bites I had of steak burned all the taste buds off my tongue! And my guest also felt as if her tongue was tore up. I even explained to the manager that I have never ate at a steakhouse where the seasoning was so salty you could not taste the meat. Since most people I would think would like to enhance the meats flavor and not kill it with over seasoning. The mashed potatoes were also cold but the waiter brought some warmer ones that weren't as hard. And they over friend my toddlers chicken, but came out and told us of the mistake and said they had put new chicken tenders in already, yet he was the last to even get his food. So I would be willing to try again without the seasoning as my steak cut nicely and was perfectly cooked medium well and would have been pretty good I think minus the salt. The sampler we got left something to be desired as did the sides. The selections available as far as meats go weren't too bad, sides and other options were limited, and for the price it's comparable to other steakhouse restaurants but a...
