I went into Lazy Boy to look for furniture for our living room. Kat approached me and asked if I was looking for anything particular. I talked to her about what I was wanting and told her my daughter-in-law suggested we use the service they offer to come out to our home and look at the space and measure to help me get an idea of what would work best in our living room. Kat said her and Tiffany would love to come out and help with my design. She suggested I walk around and get some ideas of styles And colors I liked. She suggested I look at patterns on accessories and furniture to see if there was something I didn’t like and what I really liked. I was surprised how this helped me in determining the vision I wanted for my living room. I am so happy Kat and Tiffany came out to our home and got a feel for the room we were wanting to do over. They measured, took pictures and listened to what we wanted to see in the room. They listened to both my husband and I with what was important to each of us. They took our ideas of color and patterns and the pieces of furniture I liked and put a plan together. It was important to my husband that he have a comfortable recliner and it was important to me that it not be the focal point of the room. When we went back in to see what they came up with from our talk we were amazed at what they showed us. They presented on the computer a layout of our living room with the furniture in the colors we had talked about. They took my vision of what I wanted and made it even better. Today I have this beautiful living room I am in love with. Without their help and design talents I would never have dreamed my living room would look like it does today. I never felt pressured or uncomfortable during this experience. They encouraged me to take my time walking through the showroom to see what I liked. Kat would check back with me occasionally to see if I had any questions and if I did she was quick to answer or make a suggestion. She really listened to what I was saying. The best part of this whole experience was having Tiffany and Kat come out when my furniture was delivered and set everything up. They hung all of the wall decorations and got each piece in the right place. Riley and Melvin the delivery guys were also great. They worked so well with Tiffany and Kat to bring our new living room to life. They handled each piece with care. So impressed with these two gentlemen. It was nice to have Tiffany & Kat all the way from start to finish to bring our amazing living room to reality. Thank you Lazy Boy, Tiffany & Kat for a great experience. We were looking for furniture but needed to be sure we could have it in time for a family gathering. Met Thomas at the store, he informed us they were running at 4 weeks lead time but had to quote 6 weeks due to possible unforeseen delays. We told him 6 weeks was no problem, we just couldn't stretch into 8 weeks. He said barring a hurricane or natural disaster, that wasn't going to happen. Ordered our furniture after reviewing options and went on our way. After 5 weeks and no communication, I called to see what our status was. Another sales associate informed me that my order wouldn't be ready for another 3 weeks and then they would have to add another 3-5 days to schedule delivery making it 9 weeks. I asked for them to try to expedite, I needed this furniture and explained that this was part of what was discussed when I ordered. They said they would see what they could do. A few minutes later, Thomas calls, I told him he lied to us and he goes into lawyer mode. Tells me we signed a contract and we can't cancel unless we pay 30% restocking fee (for furniture that hasn't been built!) and I was basically stuck with whatever time frame it is and there wasn't anything I could do other than take the 30% fee for canceling.
We now have the furniture, which looks great other than one cushion is not sewn on a seam leaving a 4 inch gaping hole. I'm sure they'll fix it, but of course they are closed and I'll...
Read moreOrdered a couch, two high back chairs, and a chair and a half. When the couch was delivered, it was the wrong color. The fabric on the couch was meant to be the same fabric on the chair and a half so that they matched. That was the whole reason we chose that particular couch.
At first, it was seemingly impossible to get the salesperson to call us back. It took several repeated attempts to even speak to her. And when we finally managed to talk to her, she argued with us about what color the couch was supposed to be and insisted that they had sent the correct item. She didn’t even remember the conversation about getting the matching fabrics... even though my wife and I both remembered it.
The next day, they called and told us that they would be sending the corect couch in two weeks. Well, it’s been three weeks since that happened. And when we called today, we were told that the couch is finished, but it hasn’t been loaded onto the truck. It’s just sitting a box. You would think that with the issues that we’ve had, some sort of effort would be made to expedite the process. Apparently not.
It’s going to be at least another two weeks until we get the couch. We’ve been the only ones making contact in order to get updates. It’s been nothing but indifference and apathy from everyone we’ve dealt with at the store.
