Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Laguna Niguel

i’ve been ordering from this chipotle for nearly 10 years and I’m sad to say that it’s completely gone downhill in the last year. I come in or online order probably once a week; I don’t know why I keep coming back as this location absolutely smells horrible. The staff is also not friendly or courteous as I would expect of the Chipotle name. My experience today was probably my worst as I walked in the door to an empty line and stood there, one of the employees walked in and nudge me on the side without even apologizing or asking if he could get by. I’m not sure what happened with management; clearly someone’s not prioritizing their role as the location itself smells like backed-up sewage and the staff itself would be more comfortable purposefully being rude than assisting customers nicely. I’ve gone through all the reviews on this location recently, and I completely stand by the rest of the comments in which this is a terrible staff and should be ashamed of themselves with how they react. Also, seriously: how can you go in day-to-day opening up a restaurant when it smells this terrible? Chipotle used to be my favorite place for a healthy and quick lunch option. I probably ate at this location 100x last year. Sadly this location today has gone to garbage. The food quality the last several times has been awful. From dry meat to sour beans (tasted like they were old). Serving sizes have decreased by about half as even the scoops of rice are about half a scooper now. And It seems like they have hired a full new line of staff but they need training as when I went in the last 2x there was no “welcome to chipotle”, “how are you” or “what would you like?”. Those behind the counter just stood there and I felt like I was being served by robots. No emotion or communication outside of “which meat?” For the most part. No pride in the workers to be there. Terrible customer service portions were insulting .I walked out ,the clueless employee said I could have more rice on the burrito he had started to make for me ,I told him to keep it if I have to beg for a normal portion of rice it's not worth it to me so we purchased dinner for 5 adults at a establishment who treat people correctly. I didn't ask for or expect anything for nothing butif they can cut your portions and take it home they are a terrible advertisement for there company .We used to go to that chipotle every Friday with our neighbors but never again .so keep your rice and it's no wonder that chipotle is not doing as well as it used to after the poor food handling and people getting I'll ,decling stock prices, and poorly trained staff .What a...
