Mr Wok — Restaurant in Lake Forest

June 2017: First time at this restaurant. The food was totally disgusting. Purchased almond chicken which was a little disappointing but worse was the almond chicken as the almonds were totally old and stale, I had to spit out all of what I tried to eat. It tasted rancid, stale just couldn't swallow this at all!! Then even worst was the vegetable roll which was dripping or oozing with oil... such unhealthy food. I couldn't eat any of it. I had also purchased a serving of the fried rice for my kids but there was just too much oil / grease in it, I or they couldn't eat a spoon of it. I ate the steamed vegetable but started feeling so sick while consuming the almond chicken. In 2 or three minutes I started getting severe headache and pounding of my heart, then I knew that I was poisoned by MSG from the food. The quality of their food is really bad, very disappointing. not many options and not tasty ones exist either. I Truly regret spending my $20 there for family lunch. I'll never again repeat this mistake. I should have kept my money with me I'd have been be much better off purchasing a bottle of cold water. Next time I'll continue on to Panda express, you stand a higher chance to be pleased or satisfied. Mr. Woks food is quite disappointing in general except the orange chicken is not too bad but too much fat rather than chicken. Way too much grease, lacking flavour and containing MSG to damage...

This is restuarant where the food is good but not wow, the owners business practices though are unethical, when they open they were serving the ordered meals in to go containers 9 inches by 9 inches size generous and value for money was there all the way around, whenever I go I see customer line there, surprisingly the last two time I noticed that the containers size has went down to 7 inches by 7 inches and the meals portion are smaller, when I asked the person behind the counter why they start doing this, nervously the person pretended he does not understand English and try not answer me, I personally find this Restaurant owners very big cheat and unethical people, they are scammers and big cheat therefore I will not go back there neither I recommend it for you, this time they cut the corner in the portion my be next time they cut the corner in food qualities, when a business starts cheating customers then it's not worth supporting, don't waste your in such...

To the man named Matt who only gave one star... Are you for real!! They don't even sell Almond Chicken!! I'm not sure where you ate but it sure wasn't Mr Wok... that or you have been asked to leave such a dishonest review, or you just need a hug. Not to mention you could have asked for a sample before feeding your children the oily "fried" rice!!! Lol its fried rice!! You need oil in order to fry the rice!! I pray to God that's not the only thing you're feed your children!! It was already a terrible choice. I'm not even sure Panda Express uses real food except for their vegetables. Oh and heads up that use a s* ton of oil a Panda Express too!!

Some people!! On a side note, I love this place, customer service is on parr, you can't beat the price, and the food is delicious. I will definitely be bringing my friends and family...
