Pengo Drink Station — Restaurant in Lake Forest

Laguna Hills Pengo Drink Station makes this Lake Forest location look like a bunch of frauds. The Watermelon Chiller I got here tasted like they just threw some blended (not very well) watermelon over hard undercooked pieces of boba. It was gross. I’m used to my Laguna Hills Pengo location who perfectly crafts and flavors their drinks. Highly recommend skipping this location and heading over to the Pengo in Laguna Hills instead. 0 out of 10 would not recommend

Edit 3 months later: Someone must be reading our reviews because the staff here at this location finally took some pride in their drink craft and stepped up the quality. I've noticed that the drinks have been consistently getting better when I dare go to this location in a pinch. This location is still nowhere near touching the 5-star Laguna Hills location, but I can tell management has been fine tuning the staff, weaving out the bad apples, and working out some kinks in their operations which I can appreciate tremendously. However, I read in one of the recent reviews here that the young black woman was fired which is a shame because she was one of their few employees who was actually warm, friendly, and attentive to me each time I visited with her being there. I find myself returning here more often due to the fabulous recent changes. Yesterday 2 of my 4 drinks were missing the literal boba (lol the only reason I give them my money and come here for), so I plan on returning them today and asking for them to be redone soo we'll see...

First time here and was very happy. My son was craving boba so I just searched and found this highly rated shop conveniently close. One boy got the green matcha shake - this was very good, strong green tea flavor (sometimes matcha gets a little “earthy”). Other boy got mango tango - was very nice, not too sweet more of a citrus mango. I got the signature honey milk tea. Almost like a caramelized smoky flavor to the honey, was soooo good. Great size and texture for the boba, staff was pleasant and helpful. Price is great for size and quality of drinks. Forgot to get pix! Honestly I can’t keep track how many times I’ve been here. Became an all time regular since Jan 2019. Hands down my favorite!!! The honey boba here is phenomenal. Sweetness is just right in every drink. Sooo much variety to choose from. Not going to lie, I live 2 hours away now but I always make the commute to come straight to Pengo. Absolutely delicious drinks and I will support them in every way I can.
