Yogis Grill — Restaurant in Lake Forest

Every time I go to this place, they mess up my poke bowl order- been the last 5+ times something is not how I ordered it. The girl behind there is usually the one making it. I don’t even know why I keep going and giving them another shot. For example last night I got 4 scoops ahi and 1 scoop salmon- they gave me 2 scoops or so of mushy spicy tuna which I hate, and I even checked the bowl this time before driving all the way home, but didn’t realize there was tons of spicy tuna (and not just all cubed ahi) underneath. There have been many others times where I ask for no sauce in the bowl and sauce ON THE SIDE and the manager has said I need to pay for the sauce, or also instead I’ve sometimes had the whole thing drenched and dripping in sauce when I have instructed no sauce. I have a question that we should all ask ourselves...Why should I beg a cashier for the right to use the bathroom? I walked into Yogis after a long day on the road and asked for the bathroom key. I was told that the bathroom was only for customers. For reference, I was neatly groomed and wearing a Hawaiian Shirt and Jeans.

How exactly was I going to prove I was a customer before ordering??? I responded that I was going to order something. He said that he wouldn't give me the key if I was rude! That was more than enough. I went to Chipotle across the way where the food was delicious, reasonably priced and the bathroom wasn't secured against the unworthy.

I want to thank you, young man, for forcing me to go to a far better restaurant where they want my business.

Second attempt to go here, and second time I'm walking away shocked that anyone likes this place.

The good, the Beef Teriyaki was tasty.

The bad, everything else was weak or awful. The sushi rolls are weak, with small pieces of sushi, and no flavor. even the philidelphia roll is just cream cheese, no rice flavor, tiny fish, and more.

Shrimp Udon was acceptable, until I remembered the price, the chicken that was served along side the beef teriyaki was extremely dry. Salad had no flavor, Rice was average, but it was rice, so that could be ok by us.

I paid 50 dollars for this meal which is the real problem. Extremely over priced, and low quality. I won't be back for...
