SHAME ON MR PICKLES LAKE FOREST. Over the Christmas holiday Mr pickles in lake Forest was selling gift cards to give to people. As everyone in our office enjoys Mr pickles sandwiches I bought a quite a few of them for $25 each. Now that we are back at work and we are trying to use them their machine that accepts the gift card is conveniently broken. It has now been broken for almost a month and we have no way of redeeming this. To add insult to injury one of the people I gave a card to checked the balance online and it only has $15.01. Unfortunately I paid cash for these gift cards so I have no way of disputing it. Mr Pickles owners should be ashamed of themselves. Normally I would not say anything but in this case people should be aware that they should always buy gift cards using a credit card to avoid losing money to people who know how to sell them but don't know how to honor them. I am hoping other people who bought read this check the credit card statement and dispute the...
Read moreAmazing sandwiches! Suggest ordering online to shorten the wait. I have never had an "ok" sandwich - they're all amazing. Dutch crunch bread is the go to, but again all are great, fresh and flavorful.
The Mr Pickle sandwich is my go to. Meatball is next. But I've had nearly everything on the menu over the years, and love this place. Most (all?) meals come with a fresh chocolate chip cookie and a pickle wedge.
You'll never go back to the other brand names once you've had a Mr Pickle. Beware, lunch rush is busy. Be early or late or prepared to wait :)

If you've ordered online (recommended), go straight to the back, opposite side of the cash register. If you look closely you'll see a doordash sign. Go there if you used any means of online or...
Read moreUpon entering my presence was not acknowledged. Staff was intentionally looking down preparing sandwiches for online orders. Overhead signs indicating "order here" should be removed. I waited patiently in the middle for someone to look up for 8 minutes. Eventually some noisy guys from the car rental came in and made a quick right nearest entrance/exit and a sandwich maker looked up quickly and proceeded to take all of their orders! Since I had yet to place my order I had to stand in line behind them and wait 10 more minutes to order.
I was shocked and disappointed my very basic tuna sandwich (marble rye, lettuce, tomato only--no mayo or extra toppings) was almost $16 including tax??? When did tuna salad become a luxury item??? Needless to say I will not be returning even though y'all are close to work.
Lunch sandwiches used to be affordable 🙃 P.S. For reference, 3 fresh halibut fish tacos (lunch) @ Forest Ave in Laguna Beach are...
