PZA PIZZERIA — Restaurant in Lake Havasu City

The Pizza is really great... depending on how you choose to have it made and as long as you go in "without the expectations" of getting one of those greasy, fluffy crust, and over seasoned pizzas that you are used to getting "from other pizza places". For those that feels it's too dry, ask for extra sauce. For those that feel it's over cooked, ask for a little less baking time... for those of you that don't like burnt spots, ask for your pizza to not be place next to the flames of the fire. Simple fixes make for a better pizza, instead of bashing this establishment. There's nothing flashy about the atmosphere, it's really plain inside this restaurant. Service only consists of pizza makers, person tending to fire oven & cooking pizzas, and person at register. No table service here. What makes great pizza? So many things, but in order of importance: Crust, a great sauce, high quality cheese and great toppings. PZA offered us all of the above. On a night where we'd spent the day moving and was about to order in from one of the big chains, we ventured out to a placed we'd never heard of. That was the best decision I've made in a while. PZA does not have a beef option, so I tried the smoked chicken..... EXCELLENT! My smoked chicken, roasted tomato and red onion pie came out within minutes, with a chewy, buttery crust and some of the freshest Mozzarella I've had in a long time. I recently visited a pizza place that offers a fantastic wood-fired, build-your-own pizza experience, and I was thoroughly impressed. The freshness of the ingredients really stood out, and watching them shape the dough by hand was a cool touch. Every bite tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful.

One of the standout pizzas for me was the BLT. It didn't have any cheese, which I thought might be a downside at first, but it turned out to be my favorite! The combination of bacon jam, arugula, and fresh tomatoes was so delicious.
