Read moreCame to Denny’s to get a grand slamwich which is really the only thing we go to Denny’s for.... when our sandwiches came out we noticed they didn’t look right because they had huge chunks of link sausage in them (the sandwich is normally made with crumbled ground sausage). When we brought this to our waitress attention she seemed confused and grabbed another employee. We told her the issue and she seemed to understand and she said they’d remake it.
Well, the second round of sandwiches came out and it was literally the same thing only the linked sausage was chopped smaller. There was also no maple flavoring on the bread and if I ant to be super picky it wasn’t sliced into triangles (not a big deal though).
At this point, the second waitress came over and we explained again that it was incorrect. She then grabbed her manager. He had just gotten in for the day and looked at our sandwiches weird when we told him the problem and went back to the cooks.
Apparently, they had run out of the ground sausage and didn’t bother to let us know prior to ordering. The manager said the cooks tried to let the waitress know that they were out of sausage but that information was never passed along to us.
Manager tried offer us other sandwiches and we declined because we only came for the grand slamwich. He didn’t offer us any other compensation for the inconvenience of sitting there for 30 minutes while they tried to make the sandwich correctly.
They gave us a couple coupons to come back and get a “free” appetizer with purchase of entree. One I don’t think we’ll be back after this experience and two if we did go back how do we know they’d even have the right sausage for the one sandwich that we always order from there?
This kinda just ruined Denny’s for us 😒
Update: Someone from Denny’s corporate reached out to us and made up for this bad experience 😁 Still won’t be dining at...
Read moreLet me say this first: I'm originally from MN and we have Denny's up there. So I know what to expect food wise.
The moment I walk in, I notice it's slightly packed. My comrade and I see a group of 3-4 women at the counter. They're gossiping but when we walk over, they stop and scramble to their original spots. We get brought over to a booth and we sit. I ordered a coffee and my comrade ordered an OJ. I looked at the silverware and noticed it was dirty and spotty. I wiped it off with a napkin.
When the lady brought my coffee, I noticed it was scalding hot. I gently poured in my creamer and when I scooped up the liquid in my spoon and gently let it go back into the cup, it basically was liquid lava coffee.
We waited for the food for about 10 minutes. I ordered the All-American and my scrambled eggs with cheese were slightly hard, as if they were sitting out for about 5-10 minutes before hand. I ate the eggs, but didn't eat the rest and took it home.
We were trying to get our waitresses attention but she was busy talking to other hostesses and servers. I finally had to walk up and ask for our check and three to go boxes. After that, the women scattered again like rats being caught in a cupboard and went back to work. My comrade told me that the hostess treated him very rudely and with attitude.
Definitely not coming to this place ever again. I wouldn't want any of my friends going here either. If you like people who don't pay attention to you, or give you attitude, go to...
