Continuing my exploration for the best restaurants in Orlando, I was lead here to Beth's Burger Bar. I was told by the readers of Orlando Weekly that some of the best burgers in town were here. Being a burger love, I had to see for myself. I ordered take-out, brought it home after work, and watched Disney+ while sampling some of their Signature Burgers.

Side note, there website absolutely does not work for ordering. Don't even waste your time trying it, not on your phone or a computer. It'll lead you down a frustrating wormhole of wasted time. Just call them instead. Hopefully they read this and fix their stuff up.

So the Signature Burger I chose was The Black and Bleu Burger (Bleu Cheese, Grilled Mushrooms, Lettuce & Tomato). I got the Double. This burger was excellent. There was a lot of meat on there. The patties were thin and cooked all the way through like classic diner burgers, but they were still juicy and full of flavor. The two main ingredients here were obviously the bleu cheese, which had the right amount of funk, and the grilled mushrooms, which added that nice squishy umami. I was pleased. Add in the freshness of the veggies, and I had no complaints.

I wanna take the time to say that I really appreciate that Beth designed her menu to have signature burgers that aren't too crowded with toppings. As boutique burger joints pop up all across the country, too many of them try to mash literally a dozen toppings on there, and they're not letting their meat sing. Beth lets her burger patties do the talking, with a proper amount of accompaniments. I am very happy about that.

I also got to sample The Peanut Butter Burger (Cheddar Cheese, Grilled Onions, A1 & Peanut Butter Sauce). This was my favorite of the two burgers. The peanut butter sauce was mild to begin with and not too sweet liket you see sometimes. And the tang from the A1 sauce tones it down to make this a good option for peanut butter burger experts And beginners. I really recommend this burger. Please, get it.

I also tried a couple of sides. The Classic Fries were good. They appeared hand-cut. Not too crisp, though. The Onions Rings were a much better option. Super crispy and the onions let you bite through them very easily so you weren't pulling onion out of your breading with your teeth. Get these, skip the fries, I'll try a tot instead next time.

Overall, I was very pleased with this place. The burger/price ratio was absolutely perfect. And it is exactly on my way home from work, so I expect I'll be back if I was something fast, casual, cheap, and delicious.

PS. I really, really love that Beth's website says, "Proof Once Again That One Girl Can Beat Five Guys!"...

Very disappointed in the service received today from Beth's Burger Bar - Lake Mary ordered uber eats from them to be delivered to the baseball field, ordered 2 burger bowls, requested silverware. Food was delivered and NO silverware was sent. How am I supposed to eat a burger bowl with no silverware. I could understand if I ordered burgers but with a burger bowl silverware should be put in the bag. When I called to inform them, the person put me on with a manager (Timmy or Tommy, something with a t) who proceeded to tell me this wasn’t his problem and how is he supposed to know where I am (even though I requested silverware). He told me there was nothing he would do and to take it up with Uber eats(why they didn’t cook or bag the food) he then laughed at me and hung up the phone on me. Well then... another member of the team wanted to order from there was well. I told her to be sure to request silverware, which she did because I double checked. She then called to try to talk to them to ensure they sent some, they put her on hold for over 6 minutes, never picked back up, so she hung up. She also ordered a burger bowl, and to no surprise, her food arrived with NO silverware. So I had to leave the baseball game a go on a mission to find silverware since Beths burger did not honor a request or put silverware in a to go order for a salad. I WILL NOT be ordering from here again simply due to the inappropriate and unprofessional attitude of this manager, completely unacceptable.

And yes, the burger bowls were good, but I still won’t return due to the experience, was only able to eat them because I had to leave and go to the closest gas station to find silverware

And NO the concession stands do not...

While in the Orlando area we were checking out some options for burger spots on Yelp and Google and came across two that were intriguing enough to try them. The first was Grattin Dog (have a review for that already) and the other was Beth's Burger Bar. Adding to our large list of DDD stops, we wanted to pop in and see if it lived up to the hype of "rollin out".

Between my GF and I we got the Blackjack Burger and tater tots and a Bacon Cheeseburger with fries. I made sure to try at least a bite of everything so I could comment to them. Right off the bat, I love the vibe of the place. Lots of fun signage, very well lit, cool patio dining area with large screen tv's. They also serve beer. It was only like 11am when we came so we didn't grab a beer, but good to know we could. The staff was friendly and helpful as well.

The buns were a good quality bun. Seemed to be a toasted brioche, how could you go wrong with the added butter?! A good amount of toppings and condiments on each burger. No one likes a place that skimps on these things, and they came through. The burger are like a thin "smashburger" style patty which I typically don't love. The meat was good quality and everything tasted good, just a personal preference that I like a bigger burger. Tots were standard, fries were standard.

A good spot to grab a burger in the Orlando area and not pay a fortune. It wasn't fast food cheap, but it wasn't sit down restaurant...

Was looking for a above fast food burger joint in the Lake Mary area and found this close to my office. It's located in a strip mall where Winn Dixie is. Went I went inside, the atmosphere looked pretty quiet and could have been more lively. I ordered at the counter a double patty burger with cheese. It came to about 9 dollars after tip and was handed a number to place in table. I was also given a plastic cup to use the self serve dispenser for water. Since the atmosphere was a bit boring inside, went to the outside patio, in which there was a live saxophonist playing smooth jazz. It only took about 5 minutes for my burger to come. It was a good burger with 2 patties cooked about medium, but still juicy and flavorful. The veggies toppings were fresh and complimented the burger well. While the mayo and ketchup that I asked for were on the smaller side, it was ample enough. Definitely a step above what you get in the fast food restaurants. Service was prompt and friendly. While I mentioned the inside atmosphere looked a bit boring, there were TV's showing news and sports and looked to be a play area for kids as well. However, I preferred to go outside to enjoy the live music (from 6 to 9, but not sure which days). Tables were nice and clean with the staff monitoring well. Overall, enjoyed my burger here and would definitely visit again especially when they have the live jazz music again.
