Smokey Bones Woodbridge — Restaurant in Lake Ridge

First, let me preface this by saying I'm a SERIOUS, SERIOUS BBQ FAN. I have literally gotten on a plane just for good 'Cue. That said, sometimes you just want to satisfy a craving when you're traveling and Smokey Bones did the trick! Went in when it was dead (Monday evening around 10:30PM) and it was me, a cute couple and some girl sitting at the bar mutually flirting with the bartender. I knew what I wanted. (Pulled Pork Sandwich with 2 sides (slaw and bbq beans) and a Coke.) The waiter (a VERY polite and attentive young man named Josh I think) took my order and made sure my drink was topped up without invading my space or checking up on me far too much. The pulled pork though... It was VERY tender and slightly smokey and VERY flavorful, almost not needing any sauce while being a great vehicle for my mix of Kansas City and Carolina Red sauces. I also put some of that slaw on top. Made a heck of a mess of myself and ruined a good t-shirt but it was 100% worth it! Almost got full but stopped to have the MANDATORY Banana Pudding!!!

I said MANDATORY!!! (Unless you're allergic, of course.)

Wonderful experience and if you are ok with "chain" BBQ, you could do far worse. (Ironically, I only went there because Famous Dave's across the street was closed; I am VERY glad I went!

The only complaint (if you could even call it that) was that the sandwich was too "greasy" for anyone with decent clothes. Then again, WHY ARE YOU THERE IN DECENT CLOTHES??!! If being messy is an issue, just get the platter instead of the sandwich.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Smokey bones, I live in Richmond, but decided to stop by and I was so glad I did. the service provided by Hadia was outstanding. From the moment we were seated to the end of our meal, she went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. Let me brag about her a little bit because as a former server (10+ years) unrecognized hard work is something that happens quite often in the service industry so I’m gonna put an end to that. Hadia was not only attentive but also knowledgeable about the menu, offering insightful recommendations based on our preferences. Their friendly demeanor and genuine enthusiasm created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making us feel valued as customers.

Throughout the meal, Hadia had excellent timing, ensuring that our needs were met without being intrusive. Always kept my drink full cleared empty plates promptly, and checked in on us at just the right moments. Their attention to detail truly enhanced the overall enjoyment of our dining experience.

What stood out the most was the personalized touch Hadia added to the service. Whether it was remembering our drink preferences or accommodating special requests, their dedication to customer satisfaction was clear.

We have been going to Smokey Bones almost every other day because we are currently visiting at a hotel close by so we've been going even more than usual. We are very, very loyal customers. IMANI & MARIAM were both extremely kind, polite, professional, personable, courteous, informative, helpful, & ABOVE & BEYOND WITH THEIR INCREDIBLY AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. A++ SERVICE.
