1 star just for making the sundae for me. I was craving sundae for a while. New to Lake Stevens, so i found this DQ. I was actually going to go through drive through, but there was a line. Went inside, and saw one family eating there. I went there on December 1st, 2018 around 6:25 p.m. An Employee was just hanging around. One Employee was on break I guess. As I entered, "NOBODY GREETED ME", except this horrible employee who was hanging around came up to the register and stood there looking at my face. Instead I said "Hi", but he didn't greeted me back. I paid $10.43 for large sundae and chicken sandwich. First of all, if anyone is reading this from there, I would like to give you a advice that have everyone wear a "NAME-TAG". The employee wasn't meeting the code of uniform. I'm not going to say anything about uniform, except from the fact that he may have forgotten it at home or something. He took my order, and didn't even gave me my receipt. After that he could've helped his other employees, but no this employee was not in the mood of working, but instead of hanging around. I saw him pulling his pants up couple times, and handling food without washing his hands. When i received my order, he didn't said, "THANK YOU OR ANYTHING". Just horrible service. I got home opened my sandwich, and saw my sandwich as flatbread. Literally it looked like somebody has pushed it down so hard that it became flat. Chicken tasted like it's been out for couple days. Bu was flat. Would not recommend going here. Save your money. Go to nearby...
Read moreI know, it’s almost comical to review a Dairy Queen. No one walks in expecting fine dining or culinary enlightenment. But this location? This Dairy Queen has elevated mediocrity to an art form and then set that art on fire.
The Blizzard... oh, the Blizzard. A name that should conjure creamy indulgence and childhood joy. Instead, I was served a gravel pit of raw sugar crystals. Every bite was like chewing the crystallized tears of a diabetic sandstorm, crunchy, cloying, and wholly unholy. Sweetness should sing; this one screamed.
Out of the six items we ordered, three were wrong. Not mildly wrong, not oh you forgot my ketchup wrong, but wholly off, as if someone spun a prize wheel of disappointment and handed us whatever landed. When we brought this up, the drive thru attendant tried to shift the blame onto us, as though we had somehow sabotaged our own meal. His thick accent, while not inherently an issue, was compounded by a total lack of effort to communicate clearly, making ordering feel like deciphering riddles underwater.
This wasn’t just a bad fast food experience. It was a symphony of incompetence performed by a kitchen that’s clearly thrown its apron into the ring of apathy.
Go to literally any other Dairy Queen. Or better yet, eat an ice cube and imagine flavor, that'll get you closer than this...
Read moreUPDATING MY REVIEW: I haven't been here since three years ago when I wrote the review below. Today, I came back and found everything was cleaner than ever before! I really didn't expect that, so I'm up grading my review ON THE SPOT! Not sure if this is because of better training, personal pride, or new management. Whatever it is, great job!!
FROM APRIL 2021: Came in today for a to go order and while I waited, noticed things are starting to get a little gross inside. All the seating is taped off, so I'm rather confused as to how things would get this way. The tables directly in front of the register had layers of grime. Same with the handrails and seat backs and some floors. The windows on the south and east side don't look like they have been cleaned recently either. If no one is using these areas, I would think these would be somewhat easy things to maintain. I'm hoping this is just a rare case of being short staffed. To be fair, the bathrooms were well cared for and the shakes were great as always. It is just surprising to be in phase three nowdays and walk into a place that is presenting worse...
