The customer service in this store is terrible. The most recent incident came Sunday April 21, 2024. I know that bags cost extra, so grocery clerks ask customers if they want bags. I watched the clerk fail to bag the many small items purchased by the older gentleman in front of me, he dropped a can of soda or other beverage, and she did not offer to help him transfer his items to the cart or to pick up the dropped item. Maybe he declined a bag, but it was a very disappointing scene to witness. When it was my turn, I had lots of items (I filled up the conveyer belt), and the clerk asked me if I wanted a bag. I told her yes (how else was I going to efficiently transport my purchase from the counter to my cart and then to my car and then into my home?). She decided to only use two bags, and filled one bag so full with heavy items that I was surprised the bag didn’t break. I truly needed three bags, as not everything fit into the two overstuffed bags.
This was not the first time I had experienced horrible customer service in terms of bagging at this store. What happened to the concept of good customer service being the standard? I work in the service sector, as well, and cannot imagine treating my patrons with anything other than kindness, respect, and a friendly attitude.
I will not return to this store. I live and work close to enough to two to four additional Grocery Outlets that I will simply write off the Lake...

The man in charge behaves less like a professional and more like a toddler who somehow got handed the keys to a store rather than having his mommy jingle them in front of him to keep him entertained. This is a grown adult by the way, and it seems he does his best to tread the line of terrible business practices. Shocker I know.
Interacting with him is like trying to do sign language to someone blindfolded. It's no surprise the staff always looks miserable, and from what I’ve picked up, none of them actually like him. Honestly, I would not be shocked if his treatment of his employees reflects his life.
Until that changes, I’d rather take my money somewhere the leadership doesn’t act like a Reddit moderator.
This whole review is just my opinion and nothing should be...
