Fun architecture with bright walls of windows, wood furnature, and industrial metal styling set the Ram up for an esthetically pleasing, Open concept, pub style environment. Safe to bring you family, you'll find it is much quieter and more sedate inside during the earlier weekdays than in the evening and weekend time slots Where it can get quite loud from all the happy animated conversations taking place at each table. Large screen TVs show the latest in local or in demand sports for those who want to watch from the bar area. The booths and tables of the general restaurant also afford plenty of viewing options from most seating vantage points as well for those terrible folks like myself with no manners who also might enjoy watching the game. Brighter but still nice lighting and friendly knowledgeable staff have made nearly every single meal I've had here a good one. My only issues were during the transition period when the restaurant was trying to re-open and staff itself post Covid shutdown and honestly both instances could have happened at any restaurant, especially if the chef or cooks are still learning the menu or their trade. One item was just a rather bland dish that normally is wonderful and it wasn't such an issue that I said anything. The other item was simply an issue with an easily missed quality control and under cooked main which was quickly exchanged for me with a whole new item perfectly prepared. The staff were very quick to address the issue at hand and fix it to leave me happy. The outcome left me still happy to be their customer when I can. So besides the 2 instances that were not perfect during a massively stressful and challenging transition time for the whole dang world, the Ram has plated lovely food selections that are good enough to keep me coming back when life allows. I would normally have said they were on the slightly pricier side for the food, however to be honest they are probably exactly where they need to be given the current cost of food in general. Meals can go from right around $10 for a simple lunch entree or special item to as much mid $30's for the more technical meals with higher end meats or fish options. This while more than I personally am able to spend very often is not so far out of line as to keep me forever away, and it is a local place of choice for several people I know. A good place for a nice meal out with friends. Or sneak some of the game with a bit of snack or even just a good place to go to get a break from having to cook and clean up the kitchen after making a meal for the family. š Only thing to watch out for is how fast the drinks, desserts, extra sides and toppings can add up. If not paying close attention it can definitely bite you in the backside and take a good sized chunk from your wallet before you even notice what you have done. So go out and have a nice time at the Ram. What better way to end a day than with good company and very good...
Read moreThis is definitely a 5 star restaurant. I would actually have the balls to say for me is a fine dining restaurant. The food and service was that good. My daughter had the PB&J Burger which was I had to steal a bite. The burger was cooked to perfection, the contrast of the peanut butter being creamy, thick and that fatty texture blended with the jalapeño jam and the jalapeño slices added that kick of heat not to hot but spicy enough to work with the sweetness of the PB and they didn't stop there they added thick juicy perfectly cooked apple smoke house bacon every thing together seams like it shouldn't work but let me just say it is definitely a party in your mouth. I personally had the chowder and the turkey ham and havarti focaccia sand which. The chowder was thick hot creamy and loaded with flavor. You could taste the clams by just the aroma it reminded me of being at the beach digging clams and eating them right on the spot and the topper you got big bites of clam in every spoonful. My sandwich was phenomal the garlic parm foccica was warm soft and the perfect vessel for the filling they loaded inside first they layer about a good inch of ham and turkey on top of that the add harvarti cheese which is melted over the entire layer of meat and to top it off slices of thick sliced smokey bacon served with fresh tomato slice sweet purple onions And lettuce leafs. The spreading sauce was creamy garlic ceasear dressing which was the perfect flavor to blend with the strong flavors of the harvati and bacon. With every bite you got the blend of all the meats veggies sauce and the best part was the beautiful cheese pull of the harvati. I would highly recommend trying this restaurant and both of these dishes if you have a pallet that likes flavor you'll love these. This is my new go to when going out to eat my goal is to eat the menu then start all over. That was the food now let me touch on service. I was a waitress for many of years I know its not an easy job but you can really tell when people really enjoy what they are doing. Our waitress was informative helpful tentative and so friendly she actually made us feel like long lost friends instead of patrons. I will request her station every time. Give the ram a try I don't think you will regreat the choice. Eat well...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe ambiance of this place was nice, being fairly new in Lake Stevens, and sadly this is where the good stops. When waiting to be seated we were told 20min. that turned into 1hr. When drinks were ordered, two of which were iced tea, came to the table luke warm and nearly devoid of ice, as if they poured hot tea over ice. The two large milk shakes that were ordered arrived as a 8oz milkshake in a 16oz container. When we asked our server about the huge discrepancy of shake to container and that we did not order kids size the server stated that this was the large milkshake "it was place on the bar and I brought it over". Absolutely not worth the price paid for it, one would be better off waiting to go to Sonic. When the appetizer finally arrived absolutely no extra plates, silverware, or napkins were provided. That disturbing trend carried over to when the main course arrived and we had to ask for utensil and napkins, that seemed to upset or at least put out our server as evidenced by the dismissive nature in which they were delivered. As for the state of the main courses, the fish and chips seemed as if it were fried then left to soak in the oil before being served, with oil literally dripping off it and back into the pool of oil on the plate. The Mac and cheese looked as though it was made at 10:00 in the morning so it could be served at 06:00 at night, it was clumped together an nearly devoid of cheese or moisture for that matter. The hamburger came as a bun and a burger patty and that's it no sauce, ketchup, mustard, mayo, or condiments of and kind. When the server was asked for ketchup, this too seemed to put her out as she nearly tossed it onto the table. Considering the times we are in you would think that customer service, food quality, and a welcoming helpful attitude would be the paramount for any establishment, especially restaurants. This was by far one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've encountered. I truly hope this was an off night but considering the way this started off, ended, and all of the various dissipating elements in between I fear that may happen more often than this one occasion. Needless to say I would pay my hard earned money to a different restaurant that believes in great service, quality food, and prompt curious and...
