El Jardin, oh how you've managed to keep me hooked for all these years! This place is like the reliable friend who always has your back - they've never disappointed me, not even once. The menu here is like a treasure trove of deliciousness, and the service is so impeccable it's almost suspicious.
The managers at El Jardin must be working undercover as culinary superheroes because they're always there, ensuring that your dining experience is smoother than a guacamole dip on a summer day. The vibe? As chill as a cucumber at a spa.
Now, let's talk about the Taco Dinner - three Carne tacos with just cilantro and onions. Any other way of preparing steak tacos should be labeled a food crime.
But here's the plot twist - I'm not usually a burrito fan. However, I bravely followed the server's recommendation and ordered the Pork Burrito Dinner. The marinade on that pork should probably be classified as a controlled substance because it's addictively good! Even someone like me, who normally avoids burritos, couldn't resist. El Jardin has single-handedly converted me into a burrito enthusiast.
Just a quick heads-up: the burritos come in sets of three, but they're on the smaller side. But don't fret; it just means you get to try even more of their mouthwatering dishes.
And now, let's talk margaritas - El Jardin's secret weapon. These margaritas should come with a "Designated Driver Required" warning. They're like a flavor explosion in your mouth, with a sneaky little kick that'll keep you on your toes. Sip them slowly, my friends, because these margaritas are not for the faint of heart.
In conclusion, El Jardin is a dining destination that never fails to deliver fantastic experiences. Whether you're a taco aficionado or a burrito skeptic, El Jardin's exceptional dishes and warm hospitality will win you over. I strongly recommend trying the Pork Burrito Dinner; it's a game-changer even for non-burrito enthusiasts like me. El Jardin continues to set the bar high for Mexican cuisine in town, and I can't wait for my next adventure in flavor at this...
Read moreWe stopped in after a long walk and thinking Mexican food sounded great. The prices here are crazyyyy compared to the quality. We were full of regret especially after paying the check. For about a 1/2 cup of guacamole, you’re paying $13. They really make it stretch by having huge chunks of tomatoes in there- so it was more tomato than avocado (a little stingy with the lime and salt too). The chips aren’t housemade. Everything is served in plastic. $17 margs served in a solo cup. No micheladas or aguas fresca. Small menu which is fine but everything is a platter- tacos/ burritos not sold by “each” and the plates are $17 and up. My boyfriend got the 3 burrito plate after they described them as mini burritos lol (he was thinking snack wraps or Taco Bell dollar menu size) but they were mini naked beef and bean enchiladas lol or unfried flautas… or mini burritos with everything on the side lol it was laughable for sure and because he got the “market value” asada, that plate was $26. The chicken enchiladas en mole were ok but at that price I’ve had better.
Over $100 (for 2ppl) later, we were wishing we had stopped in a Tacquiera, literally any other Mexican restaurant, or ordered taco takeout for better food at half the cost.
I’m very shocked that a place this low in Mexican quality or authenticity actually...
Read moreI'll never go back to this place again. The food was good but there prices are extremely expensive. Margaritas averaged at $12 a pop, food was about $20 a plate, and a soda with no free refills $3 a glass. However the problem was there lack of hospitality. We had a party of 8, and we ordered our own food. We asked to split the checks and they proceeded to give us a hard time saying they will not and only accept 2 credit cards. They do not mention this in the menu. And they were making every excuse in the book. We all eventually paid our own way with tremendous difficulty and our group standing at the register for a half an hour while the lady fumbled around with a prissy attitude. If they would have just accommodated our needs in the first place and separated the checks when asked, things would have been allot easier and they wouldn't have lost 8 customers. On top of that they added gratuity on the check and didn't tell us. I had to have them mark off my tip. They were trying to get every dime out off us. Please be aware that they will not take off gratuity when asked, so mention it before receiving the check or they will give you...
