If you smoke outside your potentially going to be assaulted. Because I was presumed rolling marijuauna when I was actually just rolling tobacco. I know, unheard of in the states. Common in the rest of the world. But doesn’t give anyone the right especially an establishment such as this Old Crow which I attend every year in River North (way better location by the way), for an annual bar crawl. I wasn’t a patron or anything just a passerby rolling/smoking a cigarette. He claims it’s on camera which is great my attorney said, also the city has to give access to their cameras as well considering I was standing on the sidewalk not the property of Old Crow (wrigleyville not river north) Clark Street to be exact. Now I get it by all means I do, people are drunk and obnoxious but I wasn’t any of this at all. Now I’m not saying I don’t smoke weed. But I don’t roll up in front of cops. Lol. I even told him it’s tobacco and attempted to show him unti he put his hands on me. Idk what kind of establishment they run there but this was after hours and I happen to like walking in safe neighborhoods in Chicago. Boy was I wrong. Old Crows staff changed all that. I’m just in awe I do apologize for bashing them in this manner. Idk what they had to deal with on Friday Night 11/09. But I know that no one of no one can just assault anyone for any random reason. You go to the authorities even if you look like a coward. This day an age people are so sensitive. I would’ve been cool with a cussing but he accused me of false accusations and wouldn’t listen to the facts and just like anyone else in Chicago they get bothered. But in Chicago it doesn’t matter, Opinion overrides facts and it’s sad and that’s why it’s the 3rd largest populous in the country to have left the state in 2017. Also the worst postal service it Fourth I should say. But it’s all good. He won’t receive any discipline and it was recorded. I don’t want him fired by any means he looked middle aged with a family. But he could be 22 just not aging well. My apologies I’m not trying to throw jabs verbally like he did physically. Get the riff raff out of you establishment. And tell him not to be a superhero, it’s the sidewalk, and I know Old Crow probably pays too much taxes in this city but I do, too. And some mine go towards the sidewalk just as some of yours does, too. With that being said learn to share and if you’re trying to stop all the things on the sidewalk, that you misunderstood? Go to the west and south side and assault them for doing what you...
Read moreWe had a great lunch watching football games outside on the patio. At the beginning of the meal the server, "Msoc S" asked if she could have a card to start a tab. Me being one of 4 friends handed her a card and she gave it right back to me. We then ordered $110 worth of food and drink. It got very sunny and hot outside so we decided we would move to a shaded table. The boys of our group stayed at our table to get the checks and my friend and I went to the new table. The server of the section at the new table came over and I told her I was very happy to close out with our previous server if this was her section. She said she would get her. Then "Msoc S" came over and I explained how we would like the checks split. I said I am with one of the guys and the other 2 friends are separate. She stated that she actually couldn't split the tabs. I said "what do you mean? why didn't you tell me that?" and her response was that was the reason she asked for a card at the beginning. It was almost comical that she thought because she took a card from me that she was implying that the checks could not be split. I told her that she never once stated that the checks could not be split up. Very frustrating having to take the whole bill with no warning. Then the server then had the audacity to walk away, never apologized and then didn't even say thank you or offer a receipt until I hunted her down by foot. Absolutely ridiculous service. If you are going to have teenagers working as servers in mini dresses you need to make sure they know how to use their words oh and maybe smile...
Read moreDon't waste your time. My little brother & I were planning to go here after researching places in Wrigleyville to go before the game. It was his first time in Wrigleyville & I was excited to show him around & we had been really looking forward to trying this place. Sadly, we were unable to enter (at 11 am) because my brother is only 20. I explained I was his older sister (I'm 29, so not younger & trying to pull anything ) & neither of us planned on drinking, we just wanted lunch. I would also like to note that we walked up right behind a family with two little kids who couldn't have been older than 4 & 7. Upon questioning this I was told that they had their parents with them so they were allowed to be in there. So, toddlers & young children are allowed in, but not an adult. If everyone in the place would have been over 21, or this would have been noted on the website or anywhere else, I'd completely understand & I know this is common in this area. However, when very young children are permitted in, but not an adult that is an absolute joke. I won't be back & I'll be sure to let my friends & family who come visit not to bother either. Not that this seems to matter to this place as the "bouncer" was rude & I saw multiple negative reviews noting poor service but tried to give them benefit of the doubt. My mistake. There is far better bbq in this city to put up with this kind...
