Stan's Donuts & Coffee — Restaurant in Lake View Township

I moved to the Lincoln Park area almost 2 years ago now and have been a customer at stands at least a few times a month since moving to LP.. I think it’s about time I wrote a review about the incredible work & customer service that is always provided to me by the young lady who was opening the store this morning on the date this review is being written. I wasn’t able to catch their name, but I have seen their same friendly face serving me for almost 2 years now.

As someone who owns a small business in the service industry, I know what kind of hustle it must take for someone to prepare a three line order system of donuts, hot items, and a barista bar, with both in person and heavy delivery ticket requests. I’ve never seen someone so professionally and capably handle such a massive capacity of service as is required to work at a place like stans. I have witnessed this employee handle their customers and a rush of tickets with so much care and hustle for almost 2 years now. All while reporting to work at the crack of dawn, which we all know isn’t easy for anyone.

Stan has one of the best breakfast product menus in the game, and it’s only because of people like the employee who opened this location today, that the customers are able to enjoy it so seamlessly. If someone at corporate is reading this, you need to plz pay closer attention to this employee, and they’re obvious proclivity to be a leader…and someone I’m sure would be a wonderful addition to your corporate team..

I recently visited Stan's Donuts on N. Clark and had an incredible experience that I just have to share about Elijah and the barista who went above and beyond to help me choose the perfect treats for my mother’s birthday morning.🤗

I decided to try their chai latte, and let me tell you, it was a revelation! The spice notes were beautifully balanced, with hints of cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger that created a comforting yet invigorating flavor profile. It paired excellently with the donuts and is a must-try for any chai lovers out there.

Speaking of donuts, after Elijah’s description, I couldn't resist picking up their old-fashioned variety, and it did not disappoint! A great old-fashioned donut has that perfect balance of a crispy exterior and a soft, tender interior. It should have a subtle sweetness with just a hint of nutmeg to elevate the flavor and make my mom smile on the first bite. Stan's nails this classic treat with a rich, buttery taste that really shines through.

The recommendations from the staff were spot-on, guiding me towards the best choices to savor alongside my mom’s chai latte. Their passion for quality and customer satisfaction truly made my visit exceptional. If you’re in the area, don’t miss the chance to experience the delightful spice of their chai latte and indulge in one of the best old-fashioned donuts my mother said she ever tasted.

I decided to share my experience about the new location which is housed on Chicago Ave, one block off of Chicago Ave/North Michigan . I went to this location on Monday, June 10, 2019 around 8:30 pm . There were plenty of different types of doughnuts left to chose from, I say this because I have gone to other locations at night and the variety was limited. The place was clean, service was fast the cashier and guy behind the counter were pleasant. The doughnut I purchased were two Chocolate Cake Sprinkles and they we’re the best! Chocolate is so rich, cake was light and fluffy, nice size for the price which runs around 3.00 and something cents. Other doughnut places you go to, you are put in a position to eat the doughnuts right away because they lose their freshness quick. I was able to enjoy the second one - the next day and it was able to keep it’s freshness!!! The price of a doughnuts is pretty expensive but to enjoy every once in while is a nice treat. Plus, I am glad to have chosen and purchase a doughnut I can enjoy; tried the glazed doughnut and I am not a fan of the type of glaze they use, this can be another reason why I am not a frequent guest of this Stan Doughnut Shop. I will return and maybe try a different one or stick with the chocolate...
