I really wanted to like this place and support a local small business, but after my last visit I won’t be going back. Plates were piling up by the trash can, the bin by the kitchen with dishes was also full. There was a gallon of milk sitting out on the counter the entire time we were there - maybe 20 minutes or so. There was also a personal water canteen among the coffee mixer cups. I’m all for staying hydrated, but maybe store that, somewhere else? The kitchen door was open and you could see the staff joking and goofing around. Someone brought out food on plates and walked them around the whole place before realizing they should have been packed to-go. An honest mistake, but if you’re not paying attention to the orders, what else are you not paying attention to? Echoing another reviewer about inconsistent latte prices - another time, I ordered a cappuccino and asked how many espresso shots were in the medium Capp, the barista said there wasn’t a difference between the sm/md/lg, all sizes only have one shot. Um, what?? So what does the difference in price account for? Just more milk? I feel like it’s assumed that a larger size will have more espresso. Anyway, like I said, I really wanted to support this place but not at the cost of risking a food borne illness or cross contamination. Seems to me the owner should pay stronger attention to detail and focus more on training...
Read more8/1 update we stopped by to get 3 lesches cake. It was horrible this time. They added some kind of slime egg beated with sugar. No good at all. But we arrived we waited for 5 minutes to the little girls to come on front and when I asked her. Hey when you not on front how do we get your attention. She acted like she had no clue what I was asking. I repeated myself and said we waiting for 5 minutes her reply OK. So how do we get your attention when you are in the back. She said I am working. Fine girl but how do we get you to know is people waiting. Her answer "I can't help you with that" oh cool nice way to do business. And then she got the order all wrong! We visited the coffe shop during the weekend. We found very strange that some people will take their food and eat there when they do sell sandwiches and pastries. Anyway we did not like what we order the drinks were pretty bad. We should have just got regular coffee which we try another day. However we wolfed down the tres leches cake. It was delicious. Got super loud with a large group of older women. Music was not bad and it was only one person...
Read moreIt was my first time visiting the establishment. Before going, I had a look at the menu and noticed that they had egg and cheese croissants. I was quite eager to try one, so I arrived at 2:30 pm and attempted to place an order. However, the barista informed me that they stop serving that particular item at 2 pm. I was curious about the cost involved in making that sandwich and couldn't help but think that they might be losing potential business by not accommodating such requests, especially since I arrived before the cut-off time. It seemed like a missed opportunity to satisfy a customer's desire.
On another note, when it came to paying, I noticed that the suggested tip percentages started at 20%-25%. While I understand the concept of tipping for good service, I felt that this range was a bit excessive for the experience I had. I did customize my order, but overall, I didn't feel that the service was exceptional. The coffee itself was alright, but nothing particularly remarkable. I had to get the plain criossant then, and a shame egg and cheese couldn't be there. Plain taste was good but could've...
