I have been eating at Dickey's BBQ for years and I have to say my visit a few days ago still has me questioning... what the hell did I actually eat. To sart the service from every team member working was good no issues their! Great Job!
However, the food was so bad that I felt compelled to give a 1 star review based on just how bad this food actually was. I got the pulled pork combo and my husband got the brisket combo and we got a baked potato with pulled pork to go. Sadly I am with almost 100% certainty we did not eat ANY meats that had been actually smoked nor bbq'd and there was no smoke rings nor burnt edges to be found on ANY of the meats we ordered. As such, I am pretty sure we were served roated pork and beef thats was completely bland and flavorless. You should not need to soak the meat post BBQ in sauce to give it any flavor. The meats by themselves had litterally ZERO flavor or smoke whatsoever. By far this was the worst "bbq" I have ever tasted.
Also shoestring fries suck, litterally nobody likes these, and the only reason restaurants use these is because they are cheap...Bring back the waffle fries that you had for years that cost $5 a case more. Dickey's again needs to focus on food quality over food costs. Customers are VERY much aware when restaurants start to cut corners and I am not sure if this is a management issue or an ownership issue but the owner needs to WAKE UP and be made aware just how terrible the food is getting at this location. Just simply take a look at your google reviews over the last month and actually read them before you just give a generic response... more 1 star reviews then anything else in the last 2 months, that should say something right?
I also own a restaurant here locally in Denver, so I am very much aware how 99% of these Google reviews are BS and people use them just to complain about things or to try to get free food. My issue was 100% with the food. Maybe Dickey's should focus more on the quality of their products instead of opening new concepts out of the same kitchen to try to boost sales, becuase clearly the food is suffering majorly. Sadly I do not think I will be making another stop at Dickey's when we have real BBQ places right here in Denver like Somkin Yards and Post Oak. These places actually BBQ their meats and dont sell customers roasted meats and then just call them bbq simply because there are bbq sauces on the table... Dickey's get to work and focus on whats in your name......

When I brought it to their attention earlier this month, their response was "We have record of those being sent, this matter is considered closed". Not happy with the company at all.
My husband I walked in primed for a post work out meal. The person in front of us was asking if they had an order that had been placed online. Voice laced with attitude the guy behind the counter replied that it would be done in 15 minutes, the time they had requested it be done. Then he proceeded to mumble under his breath about needy people expecting stuff to be done sooner than expected. He then greeted us and we told him we were not ready so he told us to order when we were ready. Once we started to order, he cut us off and said he we would have to wait a minute. Then he decided to mumble under his breath AGAIN about how he already asked us if we were ready and we passed so we were just gonna have to wait. I would have had no problem waiting, especially after asking him to do the same for us while we decided. What I do have a problem with is his talking smack about the customers under his breath in full hearing. It is rude and uncalled for especially since we had no issue waiting. We walked out without purchasing due to...
Read moreMy wife picked us up to pulled pork sandwiches with sides and two sweet teas we live about 5 minutes from Dickey's when she got home she realized that there was no sauce either on the sandwiches or on the side or anywhere, she was never asked if she wanted sauce apparently you have to request barbecue sauce at Dickey's and only at Dickies because every other barbecue joint on Earth either gives it to you or at least asks you if you want it. The fries were cold and I don't mean warm I mean cold as if they had been taken out of a refrigerator and the only warmth that they had received had been from my wife's car on the ride home the beans tasted like bushes baked beans that were warmed up 5 or 6 hours prior. I tried to call the store multiple times as did my wife and every time It would ring two or three times and then just stop ringing. to say we will not be going back to this establishment nor will I be recommending it to anyone (as a matter of fact if I am ever asked where to get barbecue in Denver I will just tell the person anywhere except Dickies) it is a sad state of affairs when not only can you not get barbecue right, but you in fact get it...
