Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Lakewood

Do not go here. My roommate started to feel sick after eating here with my sister and I, and she called the place to let them know in case anyone else reported feeling sick afterward so that they could check their food for possible contamination. The employee who had handled my sister's food and my roommate's food answered the call and said that she'd been told that she had to come in to work because there was no one to cover her, even though her entire family had the stomach flu and she likely had it also. My roommate didn't experience anything other than a bit of nausea that night, but my sister threw up all of yesterday, and it's very possible that she got the stomach flu from this place because they likely don't train their workers on the proper techniques for using gloves (you should wash your hands before you put gloves on, which this employee likely hadn't been taught) and because they wouldn't allow a possibly contagious employee to stay home and instead allowed her to work in the preparation of food.

Last night (7/7) my husband and I ordered a giant # 8 and #9. Everything was going smoothly until "Olivia" was putting Mayo on the bread. She dropped a big blob of mayo on the counter then proceeded to scrape it up with the knife she was using and smeared it all over the bread and then put the knife back into the container of mayo. The way she did it totally grossed me out. I politely asked her if she could get a new bun. She said no, began arguing with me and said she wouldn't do it because she thought nothing was wrong with the way she did it.I told her that it was unsanitary. She finally did get a new bun, but only after I asked who the manager was ( Gunner) and did I need to call the health dept. She told me to go ahead and call them. I also asked what her name was.After a pause she said it was Olivia. Also I'm sure for spite when she went to put bacon on the bread she made sure she put it in a pile of crumbs on the counter. I've never ordered Jersey Mike's before so this was my first time. ordered delivery for me and a co-worker food took over an hour to get here spent $35 with tip to order 2 Subs 2 drinks and two chips standard combo orders with no special instructions for add-ons are takeoffs delivery driver gets here an hour later (what the hell takes an our to make and deliver a sub?!?!) and doesn't have the chips and drinks for other order and response when questioned on it was my ticket doesn't say that you ordered that after a minute she says I'll be right back with those. while waiting we go to eat our subs and their inedible! so drenched in oil that the bread is falling apart on the touch can't even taste the meat or cheese over the copious amounts of oil we both ended up throwing away our subs after three or four bites now 40 minutes later driver is still not back with our chips and drinks! complete waste of $35. The driver is lucky that we tipped using GrubHub when we place the order otherwise she would not have gotten her 15% this is an outrage and a ripoff never order from this place the food is disgusting I expect a phone call from the manager hopefully he sees this...
