I was so excited when I first saw the signage for the shop. I was actually gazing through the window before they opened and the ladies invited me in. I am in a power wheelchair and I am able to access the shop through the rear door. The staff is so friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. There is a lovely selection of fabrics, notions, thread and patterns. I brought in a tee shirt quilt that my friend and her daughters made as a Christmas gift. I had no ideas for the long arm quilting. They gave me great advice and options with out any pressure. I gave them full reign and the quilt came out beautifully. We were all thrilled with the end result. It was obvious that Lynn put a lot of thought into the design as well as the thread choice. It was very close to Christmas so we also had the binding done there. They offered an idea for the binding fabric that really enhanced the quilt. The binding was definitely done at a skill level I would not have been able to achieve. The long arm quilting and binding is at a very professional level. I was inspired to get back to work on another quilt so that I can have the quilting done there. It is wonderful to have a quilt shop here in Lakewood. I absolutely love this store -- and I'm not even a quilter (at the moment)! It's inspiring just to walk in the door and makes me want to get my sewing machine fixed. Suzanne helped to restore a quilt my mother started many, many years ago and my goal was to restore it by my birthday. Sure enough, Suzanne came through. I hope the art of sewing is having a revival and this store should help with that. We need more "makers!" I plan to bring an out-of-town friend here...

My friend and I came here for the first time today and had nothing but a perfect visit. We had another friend who is a repeat customer to show us the ropes. But we truly didn't need our veteran friend because Suzanne (I hope I spelled your name correctly!!) and her employees showed nothing but kindness and wisdom each in their own ways.. Meeting the beautiful souls who work at and own The Quilting Bee was a magical experience and I can't wait to...
