Panera Bread — Restaurant in Lakewood

By far, the ABSOLUTE WORST experience I've ever had at any Panera I've ever been too. Had to wait 5 minutes at the counter before anyone cld bother to take our order or even acknowledge us. 4 pm in the afternoon and the place was not busy (and there was plenty of help behind the counter too). As we waited, a line was forming behind us. No apology for our wait. Has to wait another 20mins for our food, which as 2 sandwiches and a half salad. With 5 people preparing food, you wld think at least one person wld have their act together enough to make these simple items, including the manager on duty. This place is NOT customer service oriented! Instead we were treated as if we were a "bother" to them. After we finally got our food, had to wait another 7mins for our smoothie that the forgot to make. When I asked if my sandwich cld be put in the panini press, I was reprimanded and told that if I wanted that done I shld have asked when I placed my order. Unfortunately they will no longer be receiving my business here in lakewood. I will make the short trip down the road to the rocky river location. The DM REALLY needs to stop in this place and find out just what the hell is going here. It use to be awesome. But sure...

I wish I could leave a good review, but this is the worst Panera bread ever. I explained that I had pork allergies and am vegetarian. I know it’s the morning so risk, but I told them I needed no cross contamination which means changing gloves before touching my vegetarian egg avo sandwich. So what did they do? They touched bacon and bread with the same gloves! I asked them to remake it and the ladies had an attitude and refused. Mean while I wasted a sandwich because I refused to get sick. The manager has a nasty attitude like she didn’t know what I was talking about. So at least they refunded it. I guess they wanted to lose money rather than remake the sandwich. I have been to other locations and no one else has given me problems! Please if you have allergies avoid this location. This is a health violation. Also their fire alarm was flashing throughout the cafe which most people address. Also dirty location. Buyer beware who knows what else they are...

Panera was always a chain that was never at the top of my list, nor the bottom of my list when I was looking to grab a bite to eat.

After my last experience, I won't be going back for food ever again. Only coffee/tea.

I had a doctor's appointment that required me to fast for lab work. So I hadn't eaten in almost 24 hours. Being very hungry, I ordered a salad and a sandwich for a late lunch.

It was $28 for a salad and a sandwich, which is absurd. I could have gotten a steak dinner for that price.

Then to top it off, I recieved the saddest, most pathetic excuse of a sandwich I've ever seen. It was litterally a few scraps of chicken laid inside a buffalo sauce soaked baguette. Being as hungry as I was, I ate it and...
