Me and by boyfriend went here on Fathers Day. We ordered the exact same thing. We ordered the make your own combo with 1 Beef Enchiladas, 1 chicken hard shell taco, it comes with rice and beans. We had to repeat our order about 3 times to the waiter because he barely spoke English....SMH. When the waiter brought our food it was 2 Enchiladas instead of 1 which means after repeating myself 3 times, he still got our order wrong. Now let's get down to the food...the rice, beans, especially the Beef Enchiladas were extremely salty. The rice and beans were beyond salty as well. I couldn't believe that they would serve that salty food to anyone, the chicken taco was absolutely disgusting, the chicken was super dry and it had a funny burnt taste to it. The rice taste burnt as well. How can someone make rice and beans salty like that? We couldn't even eat the food. We told the waiter that the food was not eatable due to the salt being so extreme. He basically didn't understand what we were saying, I had to constantly repeat myself. He finally understood and told us the manager would be over to talk to us. After 15 minutes went by he came back to our table and told us to just forget about the bill. Ummm yeah we're going to forget about the bill for that horrible food. We only took a couple of bites of all the food to determine it was horrible. The chips(whole corn shell fried) and salsa was horrible too. Only thing that was good was the Coke I ordered, the waiter kept saying you want diet coke, I had to to tell him more than once "regular Coke". My entire experience at this place was disgusting. I will never under any circumstances eat at this place again. I don't know why it got good reviews this place is complete trash. I would not recommend this place to my worse enemy. Stay...

The server and manager at Super Mex were clearly trying to steal from my party. We have a group of about 25 people, and naturally with a large party gratuity (18% in this case) is added to the bill. Once we had all broken down what each person owed, (including the tax and tip) we provided our cards with the amount to charge. The server proceeded to charge each of our cards with an ADDITIONAL 18% gratuity. I personally got back my card and receipt (I'd instructed the server to charge $50.00) with a charge of $58.09. I asked the server why the additional amount was charged and she said she wasn't sure that is just how the system does it. I decided to raise my concern to the rest of the party. We ended up adding together the whole entire amount that was charged along with the cash provided. The bill including the tax and tip came to $260, the total amount that they tried to charge us was $347!!! We then asked for the manager, explained the situation to him and he proceeded to try to tell us that we were wrong and argued with us until finally after my insisting finally voided all the charges and proceeded to separate the bill for each individual. After viewing all the actions of the server and manager, I am convinced that they were 100% aware of what they were doing and tried to get an additional $87 tip on top of the $40 tip included on the bill!!!! My wife and I were happy with SuperMex’s catering of our wedding. We contacted them about one year prior to our event date. We enjoyed working with Julio, their catering coordinator, who was friendly, attentive, and willing to work with us through several revisions to our order. One minor difficulty we faced was it was difficult to get a hold of Julio or other coordination staff, and it was not uncommon for several days to several weeks to go by before we would get responses to our inquiries (sent to their shared company email address). However, this is partly attributable to the fact that this is a small, privately run enterprise that covers a wide swatch of southern California. And, while it did not overly affect us (as we contacted them so far in advance), it made solidifying our plans take a few extra steps. Those things aside, the food was excellent and the staff were on time and friendly to our guests throughout. They made sure to congratulate us during our reception and stayed longer than originally planned to ensure all of our guests were served (without charging us extra).
