Lancaster has changed to a city that is so accepting of the "unnorm" it tends to almost feel pushing to be weirder than weird. From the outfits to flags to art its actually starting to be a little overwhelming. The coffee shops tend to be very prominant on beliefs and make you feel out of place if your not into their advertising morals. I wasnt expecting to say all of that just to leave a review but after leaving Denim i realized how rare a normal plain jane straight to the point coffee shop is anymore. I forgot how refreshing it was to see "just coffee and some sweets". There is simply no vibe but "coffee shop" and it makes sense to me, but maybe thats why they are named denim... just a pair of everyday regular old blue jeans everyone loves.
I ordered a dirty chai which was PERFECT. No surprising 'spicy water coffee' which was great lol. I also got a corn cookie which i took one nibble and thats when i was like omg this needs a review. Off that one nibble NOT EVEN A FULL BITE. I realized that i am going to be craving this cookie at random 3ams when i wake up craving something sweet. I dont live in the city so this is going to be a tough one for me as i am ravenous at 3am and will search the house for anything. I almost feel like i have to go buy a case of them. Anyway, i can fully bet that everytime im even close to passing lancaster i am going to want a corn cookie. And we all know what happens if you give a mouse...
Read moreDenim is definitely in the memorable category for me because their coffee has a roast flavor that is so unique that it just sticks with you. The last time I visited one of their locations was over a year ago, but I still remembered how good their latte was so I was excited to visit their newest location during their vip preview day. The space is absolutely gorgeous, with natural light highlighting all of the clean, fresh details. I’m obsessed with the concrete tables that they made and the picture perfect wall with their slogan, “Make better coffee.” I grabbed an iced vanilla latte, which was so so good. I’m telling you, you just need to try their coffee because I can’t really describe it accurately. I learned that Denim has an exclusive syrup guy who makes all their syrups and sauces from scratch. The vanilla syrup is made with hand-scraped vanilla beans and their Denim chocolate sauce was made custom just for them. He also makes their chai, which I obviously had to try too. The chai was strong, subtly sweet, and just spot on. The baked goods were yummy and they also offer...
Read moreFirst time checking it out today. The Atmosphere is really great, very calming and modern. It would be a place I would go to work or study for sure. I tried their drip coffee black and I dod not like it. It was all bitter and dried fruits for me on the palate. Reminded me of Passenger coffee blends or roasts which I also do not care for. My wife got a Van Latte with Oatmilk and I tasted that and it was delicious. The staff were semi-friendly but honestly barely made eye contact when serving our drinks and we said thank you. Not impressed with that aspect of this business. It was multiple employees that were not very...
