I ordered dinner from Sprout Rice & Noodle, which operates like a takeout spot where you place your order at the cashier. Unfortunately, the food was extremely overcooked, to the point where it was difficult to bite into. The beef cubes, in particular, were chewy like bubble gum. My entire family, including my kids, was disappointed, and we ended up having to look elsewhere for dinner.
On the positive side, the cashier was friendly and helpful, the food was ready in a reasonable amount of time, and the space had a clean, simple atmosphere. However, I would recommend removing these three dishes from the menu or ensuring they are cooked properly in the future. The stir-fried dish with the rice or noodle option also needs an updated description, as it didn't match what we received. The seasoning was quite bland, with a heavy reliance on salt.
Overall, I wouldn't consider returning, as it's concerning that such basic cooking skills...

Although there isn't a lot of indoor seating, the place was clean and staff was friendly. The food was fresh and arrived within 15 minutes of ordering. We ordered the CM 8 and the S 1, both dishes were delicious. The tofu in the CM 8 was flavorful and had a perfect texture, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, paired perfectly with the rice. The S1 was perfect for a cold windy day, the broth had notes of spicy jalapeños and fresh basil. The vegetables and glass noodles were cooked to perfection and not overdone and fun to eat with the crunchy tofu! The portion was decent and the dish overall was hearty and filling. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Sprout for anyone looking for a great...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came here after getting a ton of recommendations. Based on these recommendations and the fact that this place is packed, I had high expectations. While I appreciate that they clearly put effort into the food they make, it didnāt quite hit the spot. The lemongrass tofu noodle bowl was incredibly salty. There were little bites that were just pure salt, and there werenāt many other flavors to balance it out (Iāll never understand Vietnamese restaurants that donāt herb it up!). The Spicy beef stew didnāt have much flavor either. The spring rolls were good but not mind blowing. And not a big fan of high tapioca content rice noodles and rice paper. Loved the iced coffee. If I lived in the area I might give it another try to taste other dishes, I know people rave about this place! The people there were super nice, but based on the dishes I tasted, it didnāt live up...
