I stopped by today in the morning after seeing a few of my IG friends post about their soft opening. I brought my gf and her friend along for the adventure. We were there early. It looked very much like a soft opening—not many signs or advertising that they were open but there was a lot going on behind the glass service window. There wasn’t a line of people but behind the register it told a different story. I saw baristas pulling shots of espresso and practicing their pours. Someone helping one of the employees work the POS system. It looked chaotic and calculated but warm and welcoming at the same time. Everyone I interacted with was nice and helpful when it came to ordering and explaining the drinks. As we were looking at the menu they gave us a sample of the sea salt caramel latte and we all enjoyed it. We ordered 4 drinks: the 50/50, an iced americano, a latte with banana cream cold foam, and the salted caramel latte. I had the 50/50 which is basically a charged Arnold Palmer—half cold brew half house made lemonade. It sounds crazy and like it shouldn’t work but it does. It wasn’t too sweet which I appreciated. Usually shops like to hide behind sugar when their coffee or cold brew aren’t up to par. The tartness and slight sweetness of the lemonade complimented the cold brew nicely. The cold brew itself was strong and smooth. Overall I’d say it’s a solid warm weather drink and something I’d get again. Especially when I need a pick-me-up mid AV summer day. The americano was a triple shot over ice. I originally asked if I could get it poured over a topo chico and they kindly refused and offered to sell me the topo and Americano seperately. I just took it the way they offered it on the menu. I respect that. The drinks come as is because they took the time to carefully craft them. And it showed why they do when I tasted them. The americano was strong and refreshing. They roast their own beans and the Americano showed that they know what they’re doing in that aspect. The espresso flavor was bright and fruity and not bitter or burnt at all. The 12oz triple shot had me wired at work all day. My gf ordered the latte with banana cream cold foam. She loved it (all 3 of us did because we tasted each other’s drinks) The coffee had perfect hint of sweetness, the banana cream cold foam tasted like fresh banana, but it didn’t overpower the taste of the coffee at all. It was a well balanced drink. My gf’s friend ordered the salted caramel latte. Much like the other latte the drink was well balanced. The caramel flavor was sweet and savory and very pronounced but didn’t over power the coffee at all. And once again the fresh, bright and fruity flavor of the coffee was complimented and never over shadowed. Overall I give this soft open a 5/5. We were all happy with our drinks and the service. I’d like to see what the place looks like when they got everything hashed out. The drinks alone will keep me coming back. But idea, the logo, and merch designs make a fan. It’s cool to see new businesses with fresh ideas opening up on the blvd (the AV in general). I like the idea of a service window coffee spot. It forces us to get out of our cars and walking and interacting with the outside world. It’s nice to see the AV get nice things because as long time Palmdale resident we hardly get nice things and when we do the nice things don’t stay very long. I’m excited to see where Lobo’s growth takes them.

I was finally able go to Lobos after 2 years and half of patiently waiting for this coffee spot to open, back when it was going to be called Corvo Coffee! I went there on a really hot day looking for something refreshing, I saw that they have cold brew and a 50/50 which seems interesting. I typically like to be challenged and stimulated by the coffee I drink so I asked the barista if there was a way to get something carbonated with coffee. He was totally open to the idea which tells me the baristas creativity is there, something you don’t see too often in the shops here in the AV. We went back and forth trying to come up with something, a 50/50 with blueberry or strawberry was brought up but I asked if they had tonic water by any chance which they don’t have on their menu but it was his personal tonic water. I mentioned to him that a cranberry espresso tonic would sound perfect as we’re pretty much already in fall and with this heat. He did me a favor and made me the tonic, it was delightful and refreshing to say the least since it’s hard to find coffee shops around the area that deal with tonic. Overall, the experience was great but my drink was even better! I’m glad Kyle (the barista) took my order that day as I feel many other baristas would have declined my request to make me a tonic as it’s not even on the menu. Neither is the cranberry I believe but I think it would be a great addition to their fall menu if they plan to have one. I also hope they eventually decide to open up the rest of the location to have seating inside.

I tried the Lobo Coffee Salted Caramel Latte with Banana Cold Foam, and it was actually really delicious! The flavor combo was unique and worked perfectly. The employees were super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. My only downside is that it’s a little on the pricey side—so I can’t make it an everyday thing (sadly, lol). But overall, definitely worth treating yourself!

100% without a doubt the FRESHEST and best cappuccino I’ve ever had. No burnt aftertaste and everything was balanced wonderfully. To say I practically inhaled it would be an understatement - and I finally see why this stuff can be addictive. The cashier was so thorough and genuine during our interaction explaining the options I had like milk type and extras to put in. A very refreshing individual in the sea of (understandably) burnt out food service workers in the world.

I only wish I had more opportunities to get coffee here. I’m just too busy! Will definitely always be here for my fix when the chance allows. I hope this local gem sticks,...
