Time 2 Grub Soulfood — Restaurant in Lancaster

This place is horrible. I ordered a chicken and waffle meal and my chicken was spoiled and I let the owner smell the chicken as she agreed it smelled spoiled and said she wasn’t aware that it was spoiled. She apologized and offered to make me another meal. So she made me fish and that was nasty also. I couldn’t wait to get to the parking lot to throw the fish plate away. This is not real soul food. I am southern born and raised so I know real soul food and this place wasn’t it. The bad reviews are real regarding the food. This is from my personal experience. The owner was nice about replacing the food. I can say that. However, responding to customers complaints about their food very rudely does not help the fact that the food wasn’t to their liking. Instead please use the reviews as a way to make your business better not be in defense mode so that your business doesn’t lose money. Responding rudely only confirms what the reviews are stating as this is a public website and can do more harm than good for...

In short it's the only soul food place in all the antelope valley and for a chance for a free meal you can always come here. Im just hoping the food taste good.

We haven't even eaten the food yet and we already have a review it took us around an hour and a half to two hours to get our food so heads up you need to call ahead multiple times order and then call ahead again to let them know that you're coming but you would like an ETA on your order.

More so after we got our meal they gave us a free pie for the extra long wait even though it wasn't really that busy only to forget to charge us for our entire meal as we walked out

It's Easter and my family are Christians so we went back and paid the $40 bill for two food meals with a bunch of extra sides.

My first time hearing about this place was on facebook and so my daughter and I decided to go and eat there and I spoke to the lady and she asked if I wanted menus and I thanked her and told her yes, and let her know that I had heard about her place on facebook, she ignored me and I let it pass as we sat and looked over the menu, nobody smiled or said hello to us to make us feel welcome....it was as if we were ghosts...and then when I went up to order the food, she wasn't very friendly at all...she waited for me to order first before she told me that there was no mac and cheese, no baked beans...wow...and that goes well with bbq. Her demeanor was very rude and I was taken aback and turned off from even patronizing her business and I will not be going back. Hopefully she was only having a bad day today but it is very bad for business and I can imagine what the food probably tasted like if her attitude was bad like that. ...
