Went here based off reviews on google. Place was very cold inside. Table/seating bench was pretty dirty. Ordered two meals that included a salad or soup, not both. The salad aside from being very small was actually pretty good. The pita bread and hummus was decent and pita tasted on the fresher side. Let's just jump right into the whole review. Waitstaff was one person, while he was not verbally rude, he did not have a very welcoming vibe about him. He Did not ask if we needed the normal refill and kept walking away before we could ever ask him for anything. The main reason for the 1 star was the price for service and quality at the place itself. To pay $46 before tip or $55.00 for pretty much 1.5 cups of rice and 8 oz of combined protein serving for (both meals together) not separately, was not very much value. Both salad and soup served where a bit small for the price on menu.
The kabobs and skewers where cut into half or where served as the smallest portions of kabob I have yet to be served to date. For fully priced menu option if $24.00 It was a big let down when the waiter brought a few bits of each and the plate was empty. We are on the lighter side as far as body weight goes so for two people to feel hungry after a full meal speaks alot. We had drove 45 minutes to dine in and brought our 2 year old + 9 month for his birthday. Thankfully he did not eat but there would have had to been an additional order placed had he even wanted the smallest bite. The beef shwarma was not at all authentic and we did not finish or enjoy it at all. It did not have a good presentation and the taste was very off from shawarma spices of authentic Mediterranean food.
Overall the service was poor and the one wait staff didn't do much to add any hospitality points. The food was not what authentic Mediterranean food and the atmosphere normally feels like. If your plan was to bring a family to dine and leave full and feeling happy. This place was not it. Portions and quality where just way off for it to make sense. Fix the portions or adjust price to accommodate the quality along with portions and maybe get some better inside atmosphere going on. The food also needs reflect the style of cuisine...
Read moreI came to Aladdin planning to order several dishes, one of them being kibbe. On the menu, the kibbe was listed at $4.99 with no quantity specified. Naturally, I asked the waitress, who seemed new, and she told me that the price was for one kibbe. I was shocked, because not long ago an order came with three pieces.
Wanting to confirm, I asked to speak with someone else. A man came out, already looking annoyed, and from the start his tone was unwelcoming. I politely greeted him and repeated my question. He confirmed that it was indeed $4.99 for a single kibbe. I told him I was surprised, since it used to be three, and that the price seemed extremely high for just one piece.
Instead of giving me a reasonable explanation, he responded with an incredibly rude and dismissive comment: “Well, gas used to be 98 cents a gallon. This place has been here for 30 years.” That statement was irrelevant, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. I wasn’t arguing—I was simply shocked by the drastic change. He then added, in a nasty tone, “You can order it like that or don’t order at all, I have to get back to the grill.”
That was enough for me. I left immediately and went to Ozzy’s, where you can get 4 kibbe for $6.99, or to Sultan’s, where one kibbe is fairly priced at $2.50. Aladdin has not only priced themselves out of reason, but more importantly, they’ve shown that they don’t value their customers.
Because of the unprofessional and disrespectful way I was treated, I will never return to Aladdin—and I strongly recommend others think twice before wasting their time...
Read moreAladdin’s has great quality Middle Eastern food - I order them off of Uber Eats somewhat often. But the one thing that really bothers me is the consistantly inaccurate orders. Almost every single time I order, they either give me the wrong item/meal entirely, or forget something I ordered such as an appetizer. It’s really inconsistent.
For example, my boyfriend ordered the Shish Kafta combo the other day but they gave him the chicken schwarma combo instead. I also ordered a side of labana, but they gave it to me in a sandwich form which is not what I expecting at all since it didn’t indicate it would be. Another time I ordered a meat grape leaves sandwich and instead they gave me regular vegetarian grape leaves that were not even in sandwich form. Then today I ordered the meat cabbage leaves combo, and instead I received the vegetarian cabbage leaves. They also forgot my side order of garlic sauce. I pay extra money for this and I don’t even receive it. This has just simply happened too many times to count and it’s honestly getting really frustrating.
Again, great quality food itself, but I should be receiving exactly what I ordered and not missing any items. I’d understand if it just happened once or twice in awhile, but it’s happening nearly every time I order.
Please fix this. I’m probably not the only person either. It honestly shouldn’t be this difficult to get the order right.
Shout out to their lentil soup, it’s some of the best I’ve ever had - always comes nice and hot. Many restaurants’ lentil soup recipes fall flat on flavor, but...
