Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Lansing

I would like to start by saying I have enjoyed Jimmy Johns for years. Delivery personnel is always pleasant, service in store or delivery is always fast and exceptional. That being said never in my life after I experienced what I went through will I ever be a customer again. On the early afternoon of Thursday September 9th, 2021 I placed a call to the Jimmy Johns located at 134 S. Washington Square, Lansing MI 48933. A gentleman answered the phone the promptly placed me on hold, I am aware that lunch hour os extremely business at this time and location. The gentleman who placed me on hold did not return after me for around 5 minutes. I proceeded to call back multiple times but only got a busy signal. I resorted to placing my order online which consisted of a club lulu with no lettuce and a bag of regular chips. My food was delivered by a gentleman who asked me for a tip I forgot to right it on the receipt but asking for it was rude and unprofessional. I had already spent a majority of my 50 minute lunch break trying order from your establishment. I get to my desk and find that my sandwich had lettuce on it which I requested it not have and they gave me salt and vinegar chips which I hate. At this point I had to eat so I picked off what shreds of lettuce I could and ate the sandwich and chips. I called on my next break and spoke to a manager named Josh. I explained the situation and after being put on hold to speak to the general manager I was told the receipt did reflect no lettuce so my sandwich would not be refunded or replaced but they would give me a credit for the chips. My break was over and I still extremely dissatified with how this was handled. I followed on Friday September 10th 2021 and asked for the name of the general manager I was told by the person on the phone they didn't feel comfortable giving out that information. I will never support Jimmy Johns again unless this is rectified and I am refunded for...

Overcrowded at lunch and sometimes messes up orders, but “freaky fast” indeed. Recommended if you’re short on time.

I frequent this restaurant entirely too often. Living and working around downtown, it tends to be one of my go-tos when I need something to eat and I don’t have a lot of time (or if I’m feeling lazy).

Of all the times I’ve ordered here, they’ve messed up my order a handful of times- sometimes with the wrong chips, wrong drink or forgotten drink, wrong sandwich, wrong phone number upon delivery, etc.- but again, I order here a lot, and these mistakes have been the minority of orders I’ve placed.

Food is satisfying and depending on what you order, it can be a healthier option. That said, I don’t really eat here to be healthy, so I’m a big fan of their Kickin’ Ranch. I also appreciate the variety of ways I can customize my sandwich (love adding Dijon mustard and avocado!).

I’ve heard others complain about the online ordering system, but of all the times I’ve ordered, it’s always been online except for maybe once. They’ve quickly received it every time.

Decent location. Usually pretty quick with orders. But for whatever reason they do not put extra sauce on the sandwiches.

Update 05/03/2022: Extremely rude and unconcerned employees with no sense of urgency. Watched two employees take over 10 minutes making 2 sandwiches. They were preparing walk in to-go orders before making online orders. Which, orders should be made in the manner they are received. A customer asked to check in on an online order and the response from a Hispanic male working the registers was "When it's ready it'll be placed out on the shelf", the customers response was "I've been waiting over a half hour and only have a certain amount of time for lunch", the employees response was "I don't know what to tell you". As if the employee couldn't turn around and ask the line making the food. I ended up having to cancle my online order because it had as well been over 30 minutes for it as well. Not including the 4-5 others waiting in the building for their online orders as well.
