Jul 5, 2025 We travel through Laramie 2-3 times a year. 1100 miles one way. We appreciate good food and service. We have a restaurant we frequent a block over where we get both. This restaurant did not deliver either. We had the shrimp appetizer which was very saucy. It had a good taste but the heat from the shrimp in combo with the sauce made it soupy and cooked the cabbage. I was expecting some crunch from the cabbage. I had the Thai salad with the hibachi chicken. Nice selection of spring mix with sliced green and orange peppers. Good taste. Not disappointing.
This is where the down hill slide started for my husband. The salad had onions which he asked to be left off. He sent it back and it came back with onions. I think the top was scraped off. He was offered to have onions taken off plate and then to remake it without onions. He declined. He ordered shrimp fettuccine. Came out warm. Sent it back to be heated up. Took more time than was considered acceptable for a remake and only three other tables occupied in place. We call that punishment for complaining. They offered to remake the dish it came out with different noodles and sauce. I had tasted both dishes. The remake tasted like Mac and cheese. I think he got the lobster Mac and cheese. When my husband asked to talk to a manager the waitress came back with a comp on his meal. Manager was not to be found. If you're going to manage a restaurant show some ownership and get in the game. Come out of the basement where the staff said you were. Sorry for the lengthy version but better run on this one and use our standby a block over. The food is good and the service is great at...
Read moreBased on the menu, atmosphere, and price point, I expected to be really happy with my meal here. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I ordered the shrimp tacos, and each taco only had one shrimp. That meant most bites were just tortilla and toppings, with no protein in about two-thirds of the taco. For the price, I expected something more filling and balanced. The presentation of the place looked nice, but the portion size and lack of substance left me feeling unsatisfied. Also I wanted to try the bang bang shrimp, but did not because it said spicy. My grilled shrimp tacos were spicy🔥. No warning next to menu food item. I don't have a gallbladder to process spicy foods so it feels like someone is cleaning the top half of my inner abdomen ight now with a wire brush. At the time I didn't think about the spice, because I was just trying to make sure they were orange and cooked, but couldn't tell very well from the spice. I feel very lured by good menu items. Also when a kid orders the Caesar salad off the menu, please don't confuse them with do you just want the side salad that's not even on the menu. Obviously it wasn't a great question, when you know it's not even a quarter of the size and you have to keep coming back and asking if we're sure. We've never been before, no we are not sure. Maybe if someone asks for something small or says I'm not really hungry, then ask? We're a traveling family. We were here to eat, not have to stop at the gas station to pick up food after leaving here to get...
Read moreWe ordered door dash and got the Bang bang shrimp app, the fried dumplings app, the fried ravioli app , and the Chicken parmesan entrée. I really liked the Bang bang shrimp, and got 5 shrimp in it. (I would give this appetizer a 8.5 out of 10) Surprisingly, the thing I liked most about the shrimp and the dumplings was the slaw base. The dumplings were dry, not really deep fried(?). They were gummy, not crisp at all, and dry I am not sure I liked the 2 sauces over the top, they were a bit overwhelming. I would give the dumplings a 7, but wouldn't try them again. My husband and I both liked the fried ravioli, although they were a bit gummy by the time the door dash got to us. The filling for them was delicious. We both gave the friend ravioli an 8.5 out of 10. My husband had the chicken parmesan entree, and gave it a 7 out of 10. He was not too impressed with the pasta, which was supposed to be angel hair, and was more like regular spaghetti. He also said the pasta was way too dry. He did like the side salad. I would absolutely recommend the food at Railyard, and l0ok for ward to trying more of their menu. Because of the construction we had it delivered instead of dining in. I would like to dine in next time, as the food would come out fresh and hot. I hope the Railyard does well here, we need a decent spot with a bit of a different menu. Overall we thought the portions were small, but not to the point that we would not order the same...
