Goose's Sports Bar — Restaurant in Largo

Went on the afternoon of Feb 8/24 with a group of 10 ppl (2 tables). I ordered the burger special and asked for well done. It came quite pink in the middle. After several minutes when the server checked on us, I told her it was underdone and she said they would redo the order. I said that wasn’t necessary, it would be wasteful and I just needed the burger cooked a little more. I said I’d actually be fine if they just put it in the microwave for a minute or two. She said oh no they’d never do that and took it away. I was not sure what they were doing to it (maybe cooking from scratch again?) I waited a very long time, like 20 minutes, until she brought it back. But it was the same original burger, still red and now cold. I called the server back and complained. She apologized and asked what I wanted. At that point I was pretty ticked off and the other 3 abt our table of 4, had all completely finished their meals. The server offered a new order, or a to-go order, neither of which I wanted. I said just take it off our bill. Someone else came to see me, I couldn’t tell if it was a kitchen guy or an owner who worked in back and asked if there was anything he could do. I’m not sure what he expected me to say. (Two of the others at our table also hadn’t received their orders as requested - one not cooked right and both had asked for only onion but received dressed with cheese tomato lettuce and onion) so I didn’t hold a lot of faith that they’d get a new order right and I didn’t want to hold my group up while they first cooked a new meal and then I ate it. In hindsight I think the right move on their part would have been to not charge me (they didn’t charge) but to also offer a complimentary meal(s)/gift card at a later date. I come to this place pretty regularly, and on one occasion my friends and I stepped outside to have a cigarette and chat for a little while relatively close to close. We had freshly ordered a new round of drinks and we left them at our seats at the bar, we then came back in more than 10 minutes before closing time but the drinks have already been thrown away. I asked the bartender if they could replace them and she refused stating that last call had already passed. I then asked for a refund and she refused. I then asked why they'd been thrown away and she said because they legally had to throw them away and I reminded her there are more than 10 minutes before you have to throw our drinks away. So if you could you please replace them? With that the bartender got a very mean and an aggressive attitude. Now while I had been drinking, I was relatively calm except that I did not want to waste money that I already spent and wished to be reimbursed in some fashion. Again the bartender refused and we left. Since then I've been back several times without incident but tonight I was told by a bartender that has served me repeatedly since that I would not be served because I had been aggressive previously. I was with a group of people and would not say that I was aggressive, but I was firm that I wanted my money back or my drinks replaced. It seems common courtesy when you mistakenly throw away a customers order and they have already paid. I would appreciate if the ownership or management could get back to me about this issue particularly because I tip a great deal and bring people in with me...

This is your average bar with good fried food and cheap prices. They have plenty of games, including pool, darts, pinball, golden tee golf, tv trivia, a putt putt game, and a video bowling game. Be aware they only take cash. There is an atm on site and a bank and an atm at publix all within walking distance. The bathrooms were large and cleanish, as clean as a bar bathroom really could be. They do allow smoking. I smelled it when I walked in, but it wasnt smoky at all. The service was good. The jukebox is loud so communication with our waitress seemed strained on my end but she heard me two different times when I thought she didn't. The wings were really good, as expected from other reviews. The fish and chips was on the small side, but the fish was real fish and the platter was only 5 bucks. I call that a deal.I wouldn't come here looking for a burger, as there was only one on the menu. I would come back for the wings and other fried foods.
